    "Public transit is available within 3-4 blocks of most areas in Holmesburg. The area is serviced by both Septa buses/trolleys and regional rail line. I personally haven’t used public transit in years but if needed i have a bus line that is a mere 2 min walk from my home."

The neighborhood is unfortunately changing in some negative ways (more break-ins primarily to vehicles) however the neighborhood is also doing A LOT to revitalize. They host a lot of events throughout the year both indoors and outdoors. It's definitely not a bad area to begin and raise your family. "
