"Public transit is available within 3-4 blocks of most areas in Holmesburg. The area is serviced by both Septa buses/trolleys and regional rail line. I personally haven’t used public transit in years but if needed i have a bus line that is a mere 2 min walk from my home."

"I've lived in this neighborhood since I was 6yrs. old and I'm now 31. The neighborhood is unfortunately changing in some negative ways (more break-ins primarily to vehicles) however the neighborhood is also doing A LOT to revitalize. They host a lot of events throughout the year both indoors and outdoors. It's definitely not a bad area to begin and raise your family. "

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teaching staff for grades 1-8 are okay. The principal and dean do not handle situations effectively. They do not keep parents up to speed, the dean has used foul language to me and the children. She unprofessional and rude she uses street language invited me to the school to “match my energy”.Parent Review4mo ago11 Reviews - Lincoln High School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school itself is a great establishment for students. The teachers are great, polite, and always available for families. The school also provides great resources for their students. The current principal Lauren Sobieski is the total opposite. She is unprofessional, lacks respect and boundaries for families, and she tends to abuse her authority. She does what she wants because there is no one that will tell her otherwise. This school is apart of IMS and they do not help families when there are issues involved with the schools or staff members. IMS is only there to support the principal in their decisions. No one apart of IMS or St Martin of Tours takes accountability for their actions and they do not handle issues appropriately. They are bias and it will always be IMS versus families when problems occur in the schools.Parent Review1y ago18 Reviews - St Matthew School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is horrible I used to go here and got bullied heavily and was pushed down a flight of stairs by my old classmate and they didn't do anything about it because she was white I would not recommend this school because they are extremely racistOther Review1mo ago15 Reviews - Blessed Trinity Regional Catholic School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is disorganized in all aspects of running an organization. They don’t take responsibility when it comes to bullying and it seems like it’s up to the kids to defend themselves. If your child is into sports through the CYO DO NOT SEND THEM HERE!! There is no sense of urgency in creating an environment that gets students excited about extra curricular activities at all!!! My child has been being harassed all school year and the lack of accountability by teachers and staff is absurd. I have three children going to this school one graduating this year, the staff doesn’t celebrate the accomplishment of graduating students even by showing up for them at their fundraisers. I do not recommend this school at all, it’s one step above public school.Parent Review1w ago8 Reviews
