Westfall

1. Issues are swept under the rug. 2. After principal Palermo left, the school is out of control. The current principal & vice principal walks around all day with a walkie talkie like they are working. Or, they aren't in the office to meet with parents. 3. The red (bad), yellow (so-so), and green (great) daily behavior process is a waste of time. Just call or email the parents from time with concerns about behavior. It's common sense. 4. Teachers don't answer calls or voicemails. 5. When problems arise between students in the classroom, most teachers send the children to another class without notifying parents. 6. The school lunch is not up to par. The lunchroom staff have to step their game up; I know you have rodents and other issues, I saw the reports online. This school is very small and old. Clara Barton # 2 needs a makeover inside and out.Hire staff that wants to teach and teach well. Create an inviting environment for parents. In my opinion, the school needs to close down.

My children love attending this school. Improvements can be made and the school leaders works hard for their students.

Truly from a 0-20 I would rate my school a 15

This has got to be one of the most unorganized schools in the district. Teachers are disrespectful and I do not think they actually care about how these kids do in school, it’s obvious from the test scores. Do yourself a favor and avoid sending your child here.

Go out and just walk around the grounds. Ask how children in wheelchairs and walkers acess the playground? The lack of accessibility in and out of this buiding. Walk in the GEM classrooms and see how Ipads and smart board are nothing more than youtube players. ABC' and 123,a few favoriate nursery rhymes thrown in. No adaptive PE offered. The students with disabilities are well fed. Kept clean. They stay in their own rooms are far from the general school population as possible. It's an out of date model and I feel sorry for any parent who thinks they have to settle for this school. The parents need to advicate & agitate for better from RCSD.
