It is a great school definitely send your kids there. They have a basketball team and a soccer team. They also have a few clubs like drama,volleyball, and the student union! The drama club gets invited every year to sing the national anthem somewhere! The student union is also a big part of 266 the provide bake sales,clubs and more! Overall I rate this school a 8/10. Send your kid/kids to PS/IS 266Q.

Great teachers for the most part. Mrs. Careddu is wonderful and effective as principal.The one downside is the PTA which could be more inclusive. 60+ percent of the student body is Asian but there are never any fundraising activities at Asian places and the PTA board members are very rude to Asian parents even when you're trying to volunteer. They speak to you as though you're a child. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. Hope this changes in the new school year.

We are deeply grateful to Ms. Samantha Bruzzo for everything she has done for our son, Camden, during his kindergarten year. She is incredibly patient, kind, and caring, and created a classroom environment where Camden felt safe, happy, and excited to learn every day. He always came home eager to share what he learned, which speaks volumes about her impact. Ms. Bruzzo made his Kindergarten experience truly special, and we feel so lucky he had her as his teacher. She has made a lasting difference in his life, and we wish her all the best in the future!

Constant complaints of bullying and teachers don’t have a lot of patience. Always some thing with this school.

Perfect school. Completely Torah-observant, welcoming to everyone. From kindergarten to Eighth Grade, I’ve felt like I was learning quickly, with every classmate as a friend. Today, I took my eighth grade math regents—possibly my last time being in Har Torah. I am completely prepared for what is to come. The teachers are amazing, and enjoy their job. They give themselves to their students, and know exactly what each child needs. Har Torah education is based on giving each child the highest education he can get as an individual, different for each person, but still working as a family. I’ve developed love for Torah, love for learning in general, interest in everything, high ambition, tremendous respect for superiors, perfect social skills (initially difficult for me), and intimate love for the staff and students. As Jews, we are all family, and in Har Torah, we all know it.One thing to note: This year—and only this year—roughly half of the eighth and seventh graders have not been educated on why they should keep the Torah. They still did, but not at the highest level. If your child is easily influenced, wait for two years to send them here. Otherwise, send them the day school starts, with no hesitation. I want to stress that Har Torah is the highest elementary and middle Yeshiva on and around Long Island, and those running it have been doing so for decades. My uncles attended school here, and they say they loved it at least as much as I. This is the best option for your child to get an education, including Torah, english subjects, and personal development. This is the best of the best.Oh, I almost forgot—Danny the security guard. Danny is the favorite of every student. His presence counts for a large amount of my enjoyment and feeling of friendship at this school. When you come over to our school, look for the average-height Indian security guard, and say hello. You will not regret anything.

Teacher here - and no one asked me to write this post. St Greg’s is my home away from home, my second family. Faculty and staff are happy here. In fact, the only reasons teachers decide to leave are a) retirement or b) financial. We are a tight knit community, which is exactly what makes St. Greg’s great. Every child is known by name by every staff member, whether it’s the security guard who greets every single child who walks in the building every morning and offers advice when needed, the custodian who diligently serves as a role model for hard work, the nurse who calmly and compassionately assesses and addresses every situation that is brought to her office, the guidance counselor who has genuine conversations with the children, the secretaries who meticulously do all the important work behind the scenes, or every single teacher who works tirelessly to ensure not only a proper education for every single student, but to make sure that every student feels comfortable and safe in their classrooms. Are we perfect? No. Who is? But I can say with confidence the few negative experiences are nothing compared to the multitude of positive experiences. I don’t know many other schools where alumni stay in touch with each other years later, or college kids come back to visit their old teachers. We are a wonderful community and I am so grateful to be a part of it.
