Six Forks

My children have had another amazing year at Brooks ES. Each day they are excited to go to school. They have both grow academically and socially and really enjoy the Museum Magnet program so much. They have had many in school and off campus field trips, participated in many special programs like Chorus and enrichment groups and attended many fantastic assemblies. They learn from many wonderful, talented and caring teachers and I could not be more grateful!

This is my child's third year at Green, and it is an amazing school environment for students. The teachers are very supportive of their students, and it is evident they get to know the kids they work with. This is the case for classroom teachers, specialists, world language teachers, and counselors. Ms. Blake has established culture that is student-centered, and we appreciate the opportunities they have given our child. I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Green!*I did not rate the spec ed section, since we have no experience there.

As a mom of three children, we are now in our 7th year at St. Timothy’s, with my kids currently in Kindergarten, 6th grade, and 8th grade. After experiencing the school across multiple grade levels, I can honestly say St. Timothy’s has become so much more than a school for our family—it truly feels like a community.The communication between school and home is wonderful, and I am incredibly grateful for the compassion, understanding, and flexibility the school has shown our family through some very personal and challenging seasons of life. Knowing my children are seen as individuals and that the school supports the whole family has meant so much to us.The middle school administration is top notch. Mr. Coleman is incredibly intuitive and observant of each child, and I trust his decisions and advice completely. Ms. Roy, the middle school learning support coordinator, has been like a second mom to my child. She understands him so well and has provided support that has made a tremendous difference for our family.A special shout-out to Ms. Sherry Mitchell, the Office Manager and truly the face of St. Timothy’s! She knows every family and child, brings sunshine and humor to the school every day, and somehow manages to reunite countless lost hoodies and water bottles with their owners. Her smile and hugs are just the best.We have been fortunate to have so many wonderful teachers over the years, including one who retired but still keeps in touch with our family. That speaks volumes about the relationships formed at St. Timothy’s.I also appreciate the small class sizes, safe environment, and no-cut sports programs like Cross Country, Ultimate Frisbee, and Track and Field. These programs give every child the opportunity to be part of a team, stay active, and be their personal best.It will be bittersweet this spring when our 8th grader walks across the stage. He has so much school pride and has loved being a St. Timothy’s ambassador. After seven years and three children, I am grateful for this school and the support we’ve received among the way.
