Loved this down to earth school. Two of my 3 kids went here. I was worried, coming from the West Coast about them fitting in and adapting. There were differences, sure....but all in all, I loved all the new activities they involved kids in. They have days of the week that the kids are to dress "crazy hat day", "crazy dress day, where they where mismatched clothes, crazy hair day (we used a wire coat hanger to create Pippi longstocking) and many other reasons to participate freely in dress up for expressionism. Also, pajama day, halloween parade, play basketball against the teachers. Math camp, chess camp, Art competition and music is so fun at Highpoint. Makes learning environment more enjoyable. Welcoming!

This school needs a new principal who can speak to parents and knows how to handle situations that are complex. Maybe they would have a better rating on all the sites with new leadership

I truly don’t understand how this school has a 5/10 rating. It is an amazing school with dedicated teachers who create an outstanding learning environment. Educators like Mrs. Steinmetz, along with many others, go above and beyond to support and inspire their students. This rating does not reflect the quality of education or care provided here, and I believe it deserves to be revisited.

This school could not care less about your safety. I went here and was being bullied. I told a teacher but told her that I don’t know the kids name. She told me there’s nothing she could do and won’t find out who he is. Another day, some guy tried to tell me that my parents sent him to pick me up. I told the office that I don’t know who the guy is and they didn’t do a thing. They just told me to go with him or walk.

My children have flourished both academically and emotionally at SJF. Their experience with teachers, administration and peers has always been positive even during those rough middle schools years. Two of my children are now off to high school with fond memories of caring, proactive teachers and a level of preparation that has awarded them scholarships and honors classes. SJF was once rumored to be closing but with full classes and a state certified pre-K program the enrollment has risen. SKF certainly has been an important part of the community for over 70 years now. Don’t listen to negative unfounded comments. We love our #sjfonefamily!

The focus is one on one. The teachers focus more on individual students versus overcrowded classrooms. The faith based programs teach morals, faith in God, and respect of themselves and others.
