It was terrible they don't even care about us

I don't understand how such arrogant, rude, and overbearing people can be principals in schools where there are so many children and where they know they have to deal with many problems. My daughter is being bullied at school, and today, for the second time, there was another incident with the same girl who bullied my daughter before. I went to Tayac Elementary School... the principal practically treated me like a criminal and told me that I was endangering the children and that I couldn't be there unless I had a clean record. It makes me so angry that being Latina doesn't mean we're criminals... all the children were leaving through the hallway, and I told my daughter that we should wait for all the children to leave so we wouldn't be in the middle of them, and Principal Latonya started calling me practically a criminal, dangerous, and a threat... when at no point did I even say a bad word or raise my voice for her to insinuate such things.

This is the first year my child attended school and I’m so happy Waldon was our first experience. pre-k is going to be amazing!

Good Set up. Bad Staff. Outdated Equipment(nothing digital or computerized)Staff member hit my kid and called him a baby after he had an accident(urinated) on himselfstaff wasn't paying attention and another kid pushed my kid off a stage attempted to talk to owners... no luckstaff has no religion in them at all. director unprofessional

Sadly, this school used to be a wonderful community where students and families felt welcomed and loved; now, with the new administration, there is no longer any feeling of welcome or support. It has turned into a place where bullying, fighting and disrespect abound and the new principal simply doesn't care. She and her assistant principal have created such a toxic atmosphere that faculty, staff and students are leaving in droves. The students are so far behind academically because the teachers' first priority is not teaching and nurturing students, its looking over their shoulder to see what the principal is going to dock them for next. The assistant principal has told the students that they are too bad to take on a field trip and the principal has shown in multiple ways that this is only a job for her, not a calling in any way. At the end of her first year, almost 14 teachers and staff members either left or were forced to leave, not because of poor performance, but because she wanted to fill the building with "her" people. That has gone poorly and the students are suffering. The middle school has gone through three math teachers and three science teachers in one year, and their academics are suffering. There is an elementary teacher who gives the students spelling lists with multiple misspelled words routinely and another one who didn't give her class a single spelling list or test all year. It is very sad the changes that this new administration has brought and also sad to see the downfall of this once wonderful school.

Unfortunately, this school has fallen far short of providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for learning.There is a noticeable lack of commitment to students’ academic growth and personal development. The curriculum feels outdated, and there is very little individualized support or encouragement for children to thrive intellectually or socially.Even more troubling is the clear presence of prejudice within the school culture. Not all children are treated equally, and there’s a pattern of favoritism and exclusion that directly contradicts the values of fairness and compassion. Students from diverse backgrounds are often overlooked or marginalized, and the leadership does little to address these issues—even when concerns are raised by families.If you’re looking for a school that genuinely supports every child’s potential and fosters a culture of respect and growth, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.
