College Park

2025-2026 is the 1st year they started classes for children with autism. They are probably still learning but they are not prepared or educated with dealing with kids on the spectrum. The assistant principal is completely rude (i also met others who have met her and also said she wasnt kind). My child loves school, but he did not want to go here. He is non verbal so it breaks my heart that he couldnt tell me what happened. It took 2 whole weeks to get him regulated, after we had to pull him out of this school.

Great, neighborhood school, that needs more CP parents to opt in to! Neighborhood teachers that are loving and inclusive! They are a historic school with a beautiful PI playground ( physically impaired) that is one a kind! Students get to be around students with differing abilities! A one of a kind school in the heart of CP a true diverse school! School grades are only a part of the picture my friends, there’s a lot to unpack there-but the teachers are what make this school amazing!

We love our school!!! From the outstanding teachers to the great play yard, the care, love, commitment from all the staff. Conveniently located and safe.

Lack of Medical Accommodation and Regrettable Dismissal of Student: I am writing this review to express my profound disappointment regarding the recent dismissal of my son, Maximus, from St. Charles Borromeo. Despite our family’s transparency regarding his chronic asthma, the administration demonstrated a concerning lack of flexibility and a failure to provide reasonable accommodations necessary for his health and academic success.Education should be an inclusive environment, yet we found the school’s approach to be rigid and unsupportive. Rather than engaging in a collaborative dialogue to manage Maximus’s medical needs, the school opted to terminate his enrollment a decision that feels both discriminatory and contrary to the values of a supportive educational community.Key Concerns:• Failure to Accommodate: An unwillingness to implement standard health protocols or environmental adjustments for a student with a documented chronic condition.• Administrative Inflexibility: A preference for exclusion over the pursuit of equitable solutions.• Misalignment with Mission: The handling of this matter was inconsistent with the compassionate, student-centered environment the institution claims to foster.It is deeply regrettable that a student’s medical vulnerability resulted in a loss of education rather than a show of support. I would caution any parent of a child with specific health requirements to carefully consider whether this institution is truly equipped or willing to meet their needs.

the school is good but pretty bad

My children are thriving at Monarch! They offer lots of opportunities to learn outside, see each child as an individual learner, and teach children to serve their school and community. We love Monarch!
