Rio

So far the experience has been very good. One child graduated this year and another has 2 more years. I am impressed with how open-minded leadership is from the principal down to PTO. The teachers work with you.

JBE is a true community school where students are empowered to reach their fullest potential. We have become a Center for Environmental Stewardship where students lead the work in environmental sustainability in the community.

The teachers, except the new ones, are seasoned professionals and care about the whole child. You will not find better teachers in the private schools. Mrs. Soviero and Mrs. Aboujja in 5th grade are Master Teachers and the best of the best. Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. Pawlek in 1st grade are really great teachers. Mrs. Robinson even visited my daughter in the hospital and brought cards from her fellow students and read a book to her. I challenge you to find ANY teacher today who would do that!! However, the administration is weak and needs an overhaul. No backwards planning, no"big ideas," no scaffolding, no data walls, no data meetings. Transformative Leadership, Collaborative Committees, anything for 21st century learners other than lipservice to STEM is non existent. EI goals, social emotional learning NOT on the radar. (Can you tell we moved from the progressive West Coast?) School Admin does not meet the needs of the diverse.community it serves, which is a shame. So much potential with GREAT teachers. This school deserves GREAT leadership!

This school will create a God focused individual with all the academic prowess needed to continue into high school, and the Biblical stability to help navigate that path. Teachers hold students accountable, and expect (especially middle school) students to behave as respectful, responsible humans, while allowing students to be kids as well. Highly recommended the school to anyone.

The teachers and staff provide an excellent educational community. Children are nurtured and provided with a well-rounded innovative curriculum based on best practices. Our child loves this school, based in large part because it is truly a place where all children are respected, loved, and nurtured. There is never any bullying and children are guided daily in how to be both learners and good citizens. Teachers provide differentiated learning for their students, recognizing that students are individuals with unique learning styles and gifts. Class sizes are just right. This school is a gem in our community.

They punish kids rather than direct them. Bad way to teach kids

The school phone is disconnected. I believe the school no longer exists. It is not online either.
