Community Reviews
Read what parents are saying about Redeemer Lutheran SchoolThe teachers and staff provide an excellent educational community. Children are nurtured and provided with a well-rounded innovative curriculum based on best practices. Our child loves this school, based in large part because it is truly a place where all children are respected, loved, and nurtured. There is never any bullying and children are guided daily in how to be both learners and good citizens. Teachers provide differentiated learning for their students, recognizing that students are individuals with unique learning styles and gifts. Class sizes are just right. This school is a gem in our community.
Posted by a parent on 7/26/2020Overall great learning atmosphere and supportive staff.
Posted by a parent on 1/28/2020We have always had positive experiences at this school. We love the fact that religion is a central part of their education. The staff goes above and beyond to make a safe and caring environment for the students and genuinely care about their education.
Posted by a parent on 12/17/2019Redeemer Lutheran has a very caring and excellent staff with high academic standards. The teachers and even the front office are friendly, helpful, positive and extremely kind to the children. The teachers are nuturing and have rigorous academic standards and communicate with parents often. Principal Essig is in the car line every morning greeting the students before school starts. He always has a smile on his face and genuinely cares about all of the students. This year is our first year at this school. We live in Stuart and left our neighborhood public school because of problems with bullying, poor leadership and our children were not making academic gains.. As a parent and former teacher with an administrative leadership background and teaching license, I am probably more critical of schools than most parents and weigh heavily on educating the WHOLE CHILD. We feel very fortunate that Redeemer is available to us within our community. We appreciate the values the administration and teachers instill in children and are very thankful we decided to enroll our children in Redeemer Lutheran School.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo far the experience has been very good. One child graduated this year and another has 2 more years. I am impressed with how open-minded leadership is from the principal down to PTO. The teachers work with you.Parent Review6y ago - Jensen Beach Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is tight-knit and a great principal who turned over from previous reviews given in 2019. We get regular school communication and updates from teachers. A new school will be built at this site over the upcoming year! Proud to be JBE!Parent Review3y ago - Bridges Montessori School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter has attended Bridges for 12 years, from Toddler through 8th grade. It has been the most amazing experience of education that I could ever dream up. I wish I could have gone to this school! They are focused on always bringing out the best in all their students, on teaching responsibility, and creating a safe learning environment for everyone! My daughter loves it there so much, that even though they don't have a 9th grade (yet) she wants to stay there next year! I would give them 10 stars if I could!!!Parent Review3y ago - First Baptist Christian School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm a volunteer and I see lots of both sides of the issues mentioned in these reviews. 1 Bullying is addressed - but CAN still happenThe school hosts multiple weeks a year where they discuss nothing but bullying. They've brought in speakers and groups with specialties in this area. The school code is not quick to expel unworthy students. Being Christian, they want to offer redemption and mercy. Sometimes this leads to unworthy people being at the school longer than is necessary. Someone in the reviews accused the principal of being "meek". Meekness is not weakness; it is power under control. I've never seen her lose her temper, although she's had many opportunities to do so. Still, she is a scary person to cross. She is not afraid of staff, students, or anyone. She is dead-set on doing what is right for the school.2 Teachers are qualified - but sometimes they run short on experienced educatorsIf you're not aware, there is a teacher shortage in Florida right now. Every school in the state is clamoring for good teachers. The school has locked in some amazing teachers. Both my parents were teachers at various schools across the nation, even winning teaching awards. I know good teachers when I see them. However, about every five to ten years, there's a turnover of staff at some position. This tends to be due to either getting a better job offer (FBCS has mediocre pay) or moving away. This means that at some point a student is going to experience a new hire. The first year for a teacher is very make-or-break. This is often called the "useless year" for teachers on the grounds that they are so green as to be ineffectual as educators. Families at FBCS are likely to experience this at some point. Families at most any Florida school are likely to experience this at some point. That said, I think '23-'24 boasts the most robust cadre of solid, long-haul educators I've seen at the school in the last ten years. 3 The spiritual state of the school is powerful - but not forced down your throatI've never seen an educational environment where Christ is so elevated. Bible is the first lesson for every class every day. They host chapels every week. The staff speaks regularly to the students about their testimonies. The school saw twenty-three students baptized in November. However, this faith, while all-prevailing, is not shoved down your throat. You are not coerced to claim it or live it out beyond the basic code of conduct.Other Review1mo ago - Saint Joseph Catholic School
