"Most times it’s safe and predictable… I did avoid some stations… and times of the day, but for most parts it’s safe and something I use with my baby"

"The best neighbourhood to have a baby. Super safe, walkable and the 24th street is a treasure trove. And events on the square really help build community "

"It is an excellent neighborhood for saftey and it is quiet. However, neighbors do not work together. They don’t talk to each other. Not even when locally shopping or having coffee. Sad for such a beautiful place. "

"Noe Valley is more than a neighborhood, it’s a village within the borders of San Francisco. Clean, safe, family friendly (lots of families). It’s not “cool” like other nearby ‘hoods but for families it’s a gem."

"There are plenty of dog-friendly spaces (Douglass Park has a dog park where they can be off-leash, but they’re welcome in the rest of the park leashed). Most of the cafes along 24th St have outdoor seating that’s dog-friendly. Even Whole Foods has a place to tie your pup!"

"We have Noe square for people to hang out, sometimes movie night in the summer. and Sat. Farmers market is a must go weekly event with fresh vegetable and fruits, free music during farmer’s market. horse ride during holidays, reindeer during Christmas time and wine tasting events twice a year on 24th St. It’s a safe and lovely neighborhood. "Nice mix of turn-of-the-century homes, safety, and proximity to the Mission district for entertainment. A walk down 24th Street, Noe Valley's central hub, is nice any time of day. You'll find boutique shops, a variety of food, and bars."

"I love Noe Valley because of the neighborhood feel. Unlike the rest of the city, there are mostly homes (vs apartment buildings), it is super walkable, and there are lots of families. Plus it is safe! The Saturday morning farmers' market has great food and is an awesome way to connect with the community."

"I lived in this neighborhood for over 10 years. I love being able to walk to all the local stores, great restaurants and boutiques. Very safe and quiet and wonderful neighbors. Muni and Bart are so convenient to use also very easy to jump on the freeway when needed. It is also one of the sunniest areas of the city."

"I've lived in this neighborhood a year and enjoy it. I love being able to walk to (and claim) both Noe, Bernal and Mission neighborhoods. The neighborhood is quiet but close to rowdiness if that's your thing. Very close amenities, including a new butcher shop and produce store. Many options here for any mode of transportation here - 20 minutes downtown by bike or train."
