"Lots and lots of dogs around! If your dog doesn’t like other dogs that’s a bummer, but if they like other dogs, then they’ll have plenty of friends to sniff out "

"Plenty of well trained off leash and very mindful owners. Can be busy on the beach on the weekends, but as an experienced dog owner this spot is pretty much perfect. Worst part is probably all the bikers and bladers so be weary. People tend to speed along riviera sometimes, so careful crossing to the dog friendly food spots 🤙🤙"

"Not many places allow dogs which is awful. But there are dog parks in the neighborhood. There should be more places to dispose of dog poop though. "

"I live across mission bay and the people in my neighborhood are very friendly, especially if you’re dog people. There are a lot of new apartments and the main streets are being fixed up but parking is not too good. I haven’t come across any crime; I feel safe where I live but still would never be out at night alone, regardless of where I live in sd."

"Most homes are not designed for dogs. No yards or enclosed places to let them out. A few parks do allow dogs as well as some restaurants and neighborhood bars. It is hard to find pet friendly rentals though "

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have 2 kids in this school. Despite this school being in a different neighborhood (where we have 2 10/10 elementary schools in our neighborhood), we chose this school without regret. Our kids make great friends, have wonderful teachers, and are learning so much mandarin!! The downside is most of the friends my kids make are living in different neighborhoods which makes play dates more annoying, but otherwise, the experience has been great. I dunno about test scores or what not, but my older son is scoring 2 grades higher than what he’s at, so I’m not concerned about that at all.It bewilders me how poorly the school is shown on these ratings. I’m posting to say that our experience is way better.Parent Review1mo ago43 Reviews - Crown Point Jr Music Academy

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is my fifth year at this school, and I couldn’t be a prouder parent. It’s truly an underrated gem that offers so much more than a standard elementary curriculum — it’s a place where learning comes alive through creativity, compassion, and community. The teachers are deeply dedicated and passionate about inspiring curiosity across every subject, integrating STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math). They bring lessons to life through hands-on exploration, music, art, and environmental science — helping students make connections between the classroom and the world around them. Kids here don’t just memorize facts; they learn how to think critically, care for the planet, and grow into kind, confident, and compassionate humans. What really sets this school apart is its strong, inclusive community. Families, staff, and students are proud of their diverse backgrounds and perspectives, and that diversity makes the school stronger. Every child is seen, valued, and celebrated for who they are.If you’re looking for a school that nurtures the whole child — academically, creatively, and emotionally — this is it. It’s a special place where education feels personal, joyful, and full of heart.Parent Review8mo ago46 Reviews - Pacific Beach Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePBE truly puts students first, and it shows in everything the school does. Students thrive in a culture built around the Leader in Me program, where the belief that all students have genius is not just a slogan but a daily practice. The principal and staff consistently create meaningful leadership opportunities that empower students to take ownership of their learning, their choices, and their growth. What stands out most is the intentional focus on developing student voice and leadership at every grade level. Students are encouraged to set goals, reflect on their progress, and contribute as leaders within their classrooms and school community. Family engagement at PBE is exceptional and among the strongest I have seen. Families are welcomed as true partners in the educational process, and there are frequent opportunities for connection, collaboration, and celebration of student success. Overall, PBE is a school where students are known, valued, and supported to reach their full potential academically, socially, and as leaders.Parent Review1mo ago10 Reviews - Sessions Elementary School
