"Commuting is easy to downtown. Only about 10 minutes. Side streets are available when freeways are busy."

"We’ve lived here for 5 years with our two small children and it’s been so great! It’s quiet and the people are friendly. It’s a great place to raise a family. We love the Rio Linda park for the kids..a 3 minute drive or short walk/bike ride."

"It’s very quiet out here and everybody watches out for each other. We have a bike trail go straight out to Rio Linda and Robla school has the biggest American flag that you’ve ever seen both Robles School and Main Ave School are good country schools and we love our teachers and community"

"I’ve lived here for 27 years, this is a very quiet established neighborhood. Every year the church down the street has a trick-or-treat event, we also have a food locker, grocery stores and everybody knows everybody and watches out for each other. You drive down the street you see everybody’s yards are kept up and everybody is friendly Robla history is one of the best kept secrets in Sacramento. "

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am exceedingly dissatisfied with the educational environment and am hastening to remove my children from this school. My six-year-old daughter reports daily instances of her teacher yelling at students, which is particularly concerning given her previous enthusiasm for learning and lack of behavioral issues. Her affection for her former teacher and school made her departure difficult. This is the less of the concern for this school. Furthermore, since my second grader started at this school two weeks ago, he has experienced numerous difficulties. His peers have exhibited inappropriate behaviors, including physical contact, verbal abuse with mature themes, and vandalism of his property. As a special needs student, my child struggles with social interactions and forming new friendships, making this situation particularly distressing for me. My child should not have to fear going to school every day because of harassment from peers. I have been compelled to formalize these concerns due to the fact that my initial verbal complaints were met with dismissive laughter by the principal. As the parent of a child with special needs who has an IEP for special education services, I have been underwhelmed by the level of support provided by the new school. While I did meet with the school's IEP specialist on the first day, there has been no subsequent communication or follow-up. With the 30-day period for convening an IEP meeting following a school transfer rapidly approaching its midpoint, I am anxious that this meeting may not take place within the allotted timeframe. Moreover, it is distressing that the school has chosen to reprimand and punish behaviors that are beyond my child's control due to their specific disabilities, rather than providing the necessary support and accommodations. At the outset, I was given assurances that the afterschool program could provide targeted support for my seven-year-old son with special needs. I was led to believe that they possessed the requisite experience to cater to his needs and provide a nurturing environment. Nevertheless, subsequent to two incidents where my son displayed behaviors characteristic of his disability, the program elected to disenroll him. The school claims to prioritize their students' well-being, but their actions suggest that they are more concerned with simplifying their job responsibilities and disregarding issues that are not immediately pressing.Parent Review9mo ago9 Reviews - Taylor Street Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWorse school!! Some kids got into a fight and one of the kid has the same name as my brother ( my brother has no involvement of the fight at all ). The school didn’t properly investigate and suspended my brother. This happened a while back.Parent Review3mo ago3 Reviews - Slavic Gospel

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have been a parent at HLA for the last 4 years. I absolutely love this school and the staff. I have learned that if I work with the staff, help my kids, and bring any concerns to administration, I will be helped and my kids will flourish. Keep up the great work!Parent Review3y ago11 Reviews - 6900 West 4th Street
