PRIVATE FURNISHED DECK
Step outside onto your own private deck, furnished with chairs and a comfortable settee
It's a lovely place to begin the morning, enjoy a meal outdoors, read in the fresh air or settle in after a day on campus\. The elevated setting also provides a pleasant neighborhood outlook and mountain views\.

Please note that this home offers a private deck rather than a fully fenced private yard\. Pets should remain supervised whenever they are outside
Pets are welcome, and this location makes daily walks especially enjoyable\. Peaceful neighborhood streets, wooded trails and beautiful Hendricks Park are nearby, giving you and your dog plenty of options for outdoor time

We kindly ask that pets stay off uncovered furniture and that owners clean up after them\. Guests should bring any special bedding, bowls or other supplies their pets may need\.

This is an excellent location for University of Oregon families, visiting faculty, students, alumni and guests attending events at Hayward Field
Campus and Hayward Field are within walking distance, making it easier to avoid event traffic and parking challenges\. Matthew Knight Arena, local restaurants, grocery markets and other central Eugene destinations are also conveniently accessible

Guests can enjoy the energy and convenience of being near campus while returning home to a quieter, scenic residential setting

NEAR HENDRICKS PARK AND TRAILS
Hendricks Park one of Eugene's most treasured natural spaces is nearby\. The park offers beautiful woodland trails, towering Douglas firs and a renowned rhododendron garden\

It's a wonderful place for walking, running, enjoying nature or exploring Eugene with your dog\. Additional neighborhood trails and outdoor recreation are also close to the home
Guests have private use of the entire upper home, including:

The property is a duplex\. A completely separate residence is located below the home and has its own private entrance\. There are no shared interior living spaces\.
Because another home is located below, we ask guests to be mindful of footsteps and noise, particularly after 10:00 p\.m\. Also excessive barking isn't feasible with the proximity of downstairs unit\. For those of you with dogs that do Host will ask that dog is not left in house or deck for more than 2 hours at a time

    "Neighbors here are friendly, educated and involved without being nosy. It is a neighborhood with many families, academics and professionals. Children have safe streets to walk to school and Edison is a terrific neighborhood school. The area attends Edison, Roosevelt and South Eugene High School so it has the best schools that 4J has to offer. The location is unbeatable close in yet feels like the walkable suburbs. I-5 is easily accessible, yet there is no noise or pollution due to Fairmount's location behind Hendrick's HIll. Bus lines are convenient, but many popular destinations in the neighborhood like the Eugene Bakery or Prince Pucklers are close by within walking distance. Prince Pucklers is a neighborhood hangout where you can meet or chat with people you know and their families. The ice cream is top notch too and was even featured in VIA magazine! Much of the neighborhood is beautiful well kept houses with the majority built between 1930-1950 with some other vintages mixed in. There are more long time owners than renters. Many of the renters living in the area are also long term. There are very few multiple unit properties. There are many great parks in the neighborhood including beautiful walking/running trails through Hendricks Park with azaleas and rhodies in bloom from Spring through Summer. Mid sized Washburne Park hosts sun worshippers, frisbee players, walkers and readers. Washburne also plays host to 1-2 free summer band concerts where neighbors bring a blanket and listen. There are two playgrounds one in Fairmount park has new playground equipment and features a water play area in the summer. Agate Playground has swings, climbing structures and benches where kids can finish their ice cream before they play. Fairmount is a great family neighborhood with something for everyone. I have lived in different areas in Eugene and different parts of the country, but this place feels like home."
