Easy drive to Santa Barbara wine tasting vineyards, downtown Santa Barbara shopping, night life, dining, sailing, fishing, music festivals. A convenient place to stay for Carpinteria's Avocado Festival, Carp's Triathlon, Santa Barbara Cancer Run, Carp's Surf' n Suds Beer Festival, Rods & Roses classic auto show, Carpinteria Seal Nookery, Santa Barbara Polo Cub matches, Carpinteria Surf Camp, Carpinteria's Farmer's Market, tours of Carpinteria's Orchid Farms, Santa Barbara Sea Glass and Ocean Festival and many other events.

This classic home has two bedrooms and two baths and is decorated with comfy charm. The spacious, newly remodeled kitchen seats eight and has a real antique stove you can cook on plus an oven/second range. Walk upstairs and enter the family room, stunning hardwood floors with cathedral ceilings and lots of bright sunshine with views all around. Both bedrooms have king-size beds with roll-away beds in the closet and a blow-up bed. A large enclosed backyard with a barbecue and sitting area is great for entertaining. An outdoor shower is convenient for rinsing off sand after a day at the beach. Enjoy sunset views on the upper balcony.

You can walk to great shops and restaurants downtown or hop on a train to Santa Barbara for the day, the depot is four blocks away. A cute seasonal attached unit nicknamed 'The Sugar Shack' features a rustic attic-style cottage with a sleeping area during peak season months (The unit has no heat and is closed in the off-season). Nest cameras provide security for specific ext. entrances only.

One small pet (35 lbs. or less) is permitted during the off-season. There is a $150 non-refundable pet fee to cover the cost of pet-related issues, ranging from poop sweeps of the backyard, cleaning of the carpets, garbage barrel accidents, etc.

Owner pays for the gardener, internet/cable TV, and trash pickup. Renters pay for gas, electricity, and water. No more than one small dog, no cats. No more than three cars permitted to park on property. No parties, reunions, no extra overnight guests unless authorized. No sharing of personal access code to home to unauthorized guests. Renters take out trash. Renters will pay for housekeeping to come in every two weeks to clean the home.

    "I’ve lived in Carpinteria for more than 20 years and I love this little beach town. It has its own laidback feel to it and isn’t as stuffy or trendy as Montecito or Santa Barbara. There isn’t much in the way of nightlife and things get pretty quiet after about 8:30pm. But the charm of this place is hard to beat. "

    "I live here part time and work here. Been here for 24 years. I fell in love with the town in 1991 and have loved it ever since.I am an artist and it is beautiful! People are so so nice. You have the gorgeous beach, ocean, sunsets, and mountains while everything in the town is a flat walk , biking hiking, sipping coffee in the sun. Just a wonderful heavenly quiet joyful place to be!"
