Conveniently located a half mile from the "Bay District," where you can enjoy restaurants such as The Dock, Charles and Darles, Compass and Cleaver, and Chicken House. Located within a few short miles of several golf courses, including Gull Lake View Golf Resort and Stoatin Brae Golf Club. This cottage is all brand new inside and out. It is also situated less than half a mile from the Gull Lake Marina, where you can rent boats, kayaks, e-bikes, etc. You can also join the Carefree Boat Club, which lets you take out boats on the lake all summer for a monthly fee, and the boats are housed at the marina; you sign them out - no maintaining them. There is also a public launch a mile away. The beautiful landscaping will make the outside fun and give you many memories. The inside has the main bedroom and bathroom/laundry room on the main floor. The second bedroom and bathroom are on the bottom floor/basement. Both bathrooms are tiled with showers. Has a deck with sliding glass doors overlooking beautiful Gull Lake. Also very close to downtown Kalamazoo for any nightlife or cultural and community events. Pictures posted.

The lease is yearly, but we can also discuss shorter or longer terms. Rent will include internet, city sewer, and garbage service. Water is provided through a brand-new well, tested and deemed safe for drinking. There are also two electric fireplaces (one upstairs and one downstairs) for extra heat/ambiance. You are responsible for mowing, taking care of the lawn, shoveling the snow from the driveway in the winter, and electric/natural gas. Smoking is only permitted outside. Has off-street parking and in-unit laundry and central air. Comes with a stove, refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster oven, and three 3-person bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom, an air hockey table, and a few other small cabinets and end tables for your use if wanted. Also has an egg chair for the deck, a bench for the fire pit and an air hockey table for the basement level. Partially furnished....any appliances/furniture you do not want/need can be removed. The last renter was a traveling architect so this would be perfect for any traveling professionals looking for an awesome place to spend a few months while working.

"EVERY SUMMER THE FIRE DEPARTMENT PUTS ON A CAR SHOW TO RAISE FUNDS. IT IS A GOOD TIME AND THE WHOLE TOWN COMES OUT FOR IT. "

"I grew up here, in Augusta. It's a beautiful little village. A perfect retirement location, and a wonderful place to raise your children. Now that my grandmother has passed away, I wish I could afford to buy our family home, as I can't, I do wish that a lovely family moves in and creates just as many wonderful memories as did I and my cousins, aunts and uncle along with our dearly missed grandparents. "

"We moved to this area just over a year ago. We absolutely love it and hate to leave! We have the best neighbors and best of both worlds in relation to night life and truly lovely settings. We plan to come back down the road and will definitely return to this area!"
  • Beth S.
"Augusta, MI is a small, safe community with good schools that has an adjacent state park, the Fort Custer Recreational Area, featuring hiking/biking trails, camp sites and three lakes that are good for fishing with one of which also having a nice beach and picnic area. Folks are friendly and neighborly. Augusta is a good option for two-income households especially when one adult works in nearby Kalamazoo and the other works in nearby Battle Creek since it is located between these two larger cities. The downtown area is not large but it features a small park in the village square, library, post office, pharmacy, a few restaurants/bars, a seasonal ice cream shoppe, a 24-hour gas station/convenience store, a specialty flour mill and several other small businesses. Most small businesses cater to the needs of campers and others using the nearby state park, so a surprising number of basic needs can be purchased right in town. For example, the pharmacy carries a little bit of everything including hardware and food. Pizza King in nearby Galesburg delivers to Augusta. The historic Barn Theatre, Michigan's oldest professional equity summer stock theatre company, is located in Augusta and many "Barnies" stay with Augusta residents during the summer. The close by Sherman Lake YMCA is a wonderful recreational facility offering an indoor pool and fitness facilities as well as outdoor camping programs. Golfers will appreciate that there are several world-class golf courses available nearby."
