Curated House for Human Flourishing in Central Phoenix Mountain Cove

$1,000/mo 2 rooms open mid-August Utilities + basics included Month-to-month lease next to Phoenix Mountain Preserve

Howdy! I'm Ethan, and two months ago I began building a "house for human flourishing" in the foothills of my favorite Phoenix mountains. Two rooms are opening up here's a quick rundown, then the full story below.

Summary:

* Two rooms available for rent in experimental "house for human flourishing"
* $1,000/month, all utilities and basics (paper towels, TP, hand soap, laundry detergent, trash bags, etc) included
* 4-bed, 2-bath, 1,864 sqft house, I live in the primary bedroom, the two rooms share one bathroom (pictured)
* Month-to-month, $1,000 security deposit, 30 days notice to vacate
* Fully stocked kitchen pots, pans, plates, bowls, utensils, fridge/cabinet space for your food
* Washer/dryer, shared 2nd driveway + street parking
* A low-key, curated sanctuary for nourishing body, mind, and spirit and connecting with curious others
* Move in as soon as mid-August

Full story:

I'm a long-term traveler, entrepreneur, wellness enthusiast, and multi-medium creative who's long dreamed of building an experimental co-living space here in the valley of the sun one that promotes well-being biologically, habitually, creatively, naturally, and communally. A nourishing environment that draws "deeper" individuals and fosters the engagement of interests and pursuit of potentials.

Two months in, this currently looks like:
* Standing desks
* Floor seating
* Indoor plants
* A library of remarkable books
* No TVs (but a 10' pull-down projector screen for occasional cinematic escape)
* Yoga mats, stretch bands, foam roller, massage gun
* Meditation cushions
* Musical instruments for jamming
* Hammock chairs
* Warm-amber lighting
* Ample space to unwind
* Storage for bikes and outdoor gear

It is wonderfully located a five-minute walk from my favorite part of Phoenix Mountain Preserve and a five-minute drive from Northern Ave's entrance to the 51 Freeway (read: centrally located in Phoenix yet tucked in a cove of mountains).

The interior has largely come together. But the exterior is still a blank, dirt canvas. Landscaping, a garage-to-casita conversion, and a backyard desert wellness oasis sauna, cold plunge, a big new patio with gymnastic rings and workout equipment are in the works and will probably take another 6-12 months to unfold.

I'm looking for two generally clean and organized fellow beings interested in relishing life and pursuing their potentials, who value healthy living and getting outside, and don't require a TV to keep them company most nights.

A bedroom here is an empty, blank canvas for you to fill. The rest of the house is curated space, yours to use to your heart's content but mindfully curated by yours truly as an ongoing experiment in building "a house for human flourishing."

Interested? Shoot me a message and I'll send you a link to a deep, short, different-sort of application.

Breathe it all in deep out there, and thanks for reading the whole listing!

Simple terms: month-to-month, $1000 security deposit, no pets, no smoking inside, and 30 days notice to vacate.
