"Great food, lots of variety and options for lunch, dinner and bar-going. Popular but never over populated. "

"Great mix of people. Most at home I’ve felt since living in Nola for 10 years. Neighbors watch out for each other. Just don’t go walking around after dark if you don’t have to. Freret st is fine of course. Just off streets. "

"Great neighborhood, with amazing growth going on right now. New stores and restaurants going in daily. Nice place to find an uptown home under 1 million."

"Very hip new gentrified area - best bars in the city. Very walkable. New Starbucks and Trader Joe’s going in."

"We bought a nearby small house for our daughter to use while she attends Tulane. Not very pleased with the safety of this neighborhood, though it looked okay when we first saw it. Freret street is super. Walkability is great. Would not raise a family in this area though. Seems pretty sketchy. "

"Lots of traffic, and the neighborhood is somewhat sketchy with respect to crime. No park area nearby, parking is somewhat painful, especially since all the new construction which is supposed to go on for THREE years! Good point is that Lusher is a good school, and Newman is awesome and close by. Freret street is fun and hip."
