"Maybe a dog park would be useful for dogs to get their energy out before going back to their apartments "
  • Cliffstrong23
"Decent neighborhood. I wouldn’t live here. Too many buildings for me and the houses are very small. "
  • Trulia User
"Lincoln High School is horrible to live around Kids who skip school smoke weed in our stairwells and assault people who approach them"
  • Trulia User
"police petrol, clean streets ,good stores, friendly neighbors, good schools proceedings. good sales job searching is easy."
  • Trulia User
"A great neighborhood I visit every Christmas the decorations there are out this world and the people are very nice"
  • Noam M.
"There’s not much community events that happen here. C.I. has a decent beach, there’s parades, famous nathan hotdog, and the boardwalk."
  • Maria
"I drive everywhere I go. It is conveniently located. Heavy traffic most of the time. It is crowded and noisy. "
  • Abdul U.
"Where I’m at you have to take the bus to the station t Coney Island. The waits can be pretty long 10-20min for buses. Luckily there are dollar cabs rolling through regularly. To get to anywhere popular like the city or even Williamsburg takes forever. Definitely don’t recommend living here unless you own a vehicle. Takes about 1.5-2.0 hrs to get to midtown Manhattan using public transportation."
  • Gerabbc
"Boardwalk, transit, stores, shopping, community college near by. Crime rate is decreasing. I live closer to Brighton beach so it is definitely safer here."
  • Dinyasia C.
"Its not bad. Lots of space, close to transportation. Always loud and dark especially in the summer. Fun place to visit, not live "
  • Lisa B.
"the amusement park. the beach. fireworks and so much more.the churches giving out food. gathering in the park. "
  • Nita V.
"Friendly doggie area. You see dog owners walking they dogs all day and night. Safe area to walk dogs"
  • Elizabeth A.
"they do not like picking up after their dogs poop. they love that they don't have to. although, it is dog friendly."
  • Malina M.
"This neighborhood is very unsafe. Homelessness and drug abuse is a major part of this neighborhood. The kids in this neighborhood have no innocence."
  • Deakey
"The area of coney island has many shootings and gangs in the west end. It’s quit during the winter and very busy during summer"
  • EzA
"Very unsafe and dirty. Schools are horrible and there are always people screaming in the street and playing music at all hours. Police are in and out of buildings."
  • Cynthia C. .
"The fireworks in the summer time. The rides at the boardwalk always draws tons of people. The have the Brooklyn cyclones baseball-team ball park here so there are summer games. Both at night and during the day. They also have concerts and shows at the Ford Theater."
  • Book.hviewtv
"The amusement park every summer & being close to the beach in the summertime besides that winter is the worst "
  • Tabitha T.
"owners train there dogs to be vicious and it's not safe. the one thing that is great is the beach to run your dogs. there are no dog parks either "
  • Felicia
"Great transportation but everything is far from here. It takes about 30 mins by car or subway on a good day. Lots of public spaces and it’s great in the summer. Extremely cold in the winter. Flooding can happen if you own a home. We are seconds away from the ocean in all directions. "
  • Sergey S.
"Here are no good places to walk with dogs. Always have plastic bags to clean after your dog. In a case your dog is alergic to weed you better find another neighbourhood to live with your dog."
  • Shawnsimmons21
"The convenience of the area everything is so close it’s great! The neighborhood is friendly the people are different but kind. I would say it’s one of the best spots in Brooklyn "
  • Nesstito
"Mermaid Parade, Hot Dog Eating Contest & Fireworks 4 the of July, West Indian Fet, Concerts at Amphitheatre. Baseball, concerts and wrestling events at MCU stadium. World's famous AstroLand Park. NYC Aquarium. 3 miles of costal beach enjoyment."
  • James A. R. S.
"I have lived in this neighborhood for 22 years, and have a lot of friends. There is Coney Island Amusement Park, open from Palm Sunday to Labor Day. We have Nathan’s Famous Restaurant the Famous Cyclone and our famous Cyclones Baseball minor leaguers. You can drive, just stay away from housing and private parking lots. There is also the Famous New York Aquarium newly renovated. We have IHOP, Applebee’s Restaurant, Grimaldi’s Famous pizzeria, Foot Prints Caribbean Restaurant. There are both free and paid concerts, check for days."
  • SJ
"Commute is ok about a 15 min walk to the train and driving is ok as long as it's not during work and school hours. "
  • William K.
"i think the most important thing to know as a parent is that it’s Not safe for kids to grow up here."
  • James Byrne.
"Getting better and better. More lights and trees being planted around the neighborhood. A lot of buses and taxi to Coney Island train station. "
  • pinky
"There are plenty of green spaces/parks you can walk your dog or let them run around in. There is also a beach here they will love. "
  • Mwinfield33
"There are gang activity on mostly every corner and these children act like wild animals. However, don’t trust no one because they will steal from you. Unless it’s an old folk"
  • Felicia
"To be honest we are far from most things however the subway is here to take you to most places. 30 plus or minus minutes to the city. "

"Cleaning up after their dogs. Restaurants, amusement park. Boardwslk exercise experience. Good mass transportation. Many mass transit trains to every part of the city and Long Island. Mass transit to Mid Manhattan, shopping, sports and concerts. There is access to three or your malls, for shopping and entertainment."
  • Adenikeaoyero
"I hate it. It’s not a safe place for people to live. It’s nothing but violence out here. It’s not a safe place to raise your children. I need to move out ASAP "
  • Sw3691
