What Locals Say about North Lancaster

  • Trulia User
"Lancaster gets congested daily and there are a lot of wannabe street racers. But the commute doesn't suffer too much."
  • Jered
"crime is high, and in apartment living the people throw their bags of garbage at the garbage can and not in it."
  • Elliebellii26
"nothing positive. noisy, rude neighbors. packages get stolen off porches. homeless come into the complexes and raid the garbage cans. not a safe neighborhood "
  • Jered
"there is always heavy police activity, homelessness, drugs, and if you live in an apartment complex your neighbors put the garbage bags outside of a empty garbage receptacle. this is no longer the safe neighborhood ot used to be."
  • Johnny
"We have only lived here for 3 years, and are putting our house up for sale. Very loud neighbors, who allow there dogs to bark 24 7. Nice houses in the wrong part of Salem. I will never live in the north side again. "
  • Misty B.
"A lot of schools near by for every grade with in walking distance. Also parks and shopping with in walking distance. "
  • Heidi V.
"I always see people walking their dogs all around my neighborhood. with that being said obviously it must be somewhat of a pleasant safe and secure area for both pet and owner."
  • Maybeitsmelbeline23
"Lots of sirens, busy shopping districts with insane drivers, pedestrians and homeless, stray cats at night, multiple parks not necessarily friendly places."
  • Kevin G.
"I've lived here for twelve years and have encountered nearly only friendly people who walk, jog, or bicycle through the neighborhood regularly. Grade school kids from the local community have been respectful of property, and the area as a whole has been mainly quiet during late evening hours."
  • Crystal V. F.
"it's close to shopping, gas, liquor, food, clothes, fast food, and restaurants. the only drawback besides needing more street lights, not very many places for the kids to play safely. "
  • Cindy V.
"I don’t think people are very friendly around here close by anyways I haven’t ran into any other more than a block away! I wouldn’t buy a house close to this area! "
