What Locals Say about Collingwood

  • Trulia User
"It’s a pleasant mix of both older couples and young families. Plenty of people riding their bikes and walking their dogs, lots of neighborhood events, and easy access to transit. "
  • Tara
"I have lived here for about 3.5 years and the area is lovely. I can walk to both the Park Road shopping center and the Scaleybark Light Rail Station in about 20 minutes or drive there in no time at all. It is within a 25 minute drive of Uptown, Southpark, and Ballantyne areas, so pretty much anything you can do in Charlotte is reasonably close."
  • Tara
"There are a lot of kids in the area due to the many apartment complexes so your kids can definitely have friends close by. Also parks are walking distance from to a 5-10 minute drive away. "
  • Alexandra.dense
"For the most part I think this is a pretty good neighborhood. I will walk my dog on the sidewalks during the day, but I would walk around in the evenings by myself."
  • Tara
"The area seems very dog friendly, people are always walking dogs, most of the apartments in the area allow dogs, and freedom park is close by and very popular with dogs and their people"
  • Eli G.
"I've lived here for a year, It's close to everything. Collinswood Language Academy is a magnet school."
  • Dwane A.
"I lived there 15 months . My apt was broken into by another tenant kids . Eventually the leasing office put those out . It was also a lot of car break in over there ."
  • Shaylee w.
"Been here the last 4 years, love how convenient it is to everything! People are great, traffic sucks during the school year if you are out and about at drop off/pick up times but otherwise not bad :)"
