My children LOVE this school from the teachers to the students to the challenging curriculum. Escuela de Guadalupe integrates compassion into their teaching standards, emphasizes the importance of values, and builds leaders through each of their classes and lessons. Even though it is a small school, it allows for a lower student-to-teacher ratio, giving children more confidence when asking questions, engaging in group activities, and opportunities for one-on-one time with the teachers. This is a true Dual Language School and thanks to their program, my children are proficient in English, Spanish, and even Dutch!

I am a current parent at Escuela de Guadalupe and truly can't say enough about how great this school has been for my student and family! We are a monolingual family but have seen our student grow so much in her second language. She is so proud to be able to learn in two languages and is always encouraged by her teacher and the staff at the school to use her second language. They have built up her confidence and allowed her a safe place to make mistakes without judgement. They have instilled a great routine and academic structure for her to blossom in. She has nightly homework with allows us, as parents, to see what she is learning in class and how her skills are developing. Even with the strong academics the school also put emphasis on the importance of specials, i.e. art, music and PE. They bring culture into all the learning area and that is truly unique.Escuela has a beautiful and supportive community. The parents and families all know one another and want to be involved in the school environment. It has been so beneficial to us to have the support of other parents through our students time here. Lastly, I am grateful that is a faith based education. My student is able to learn about the schools guiding principles and how to apply them to her life. She is encouraged to be responsible, respectful and kind and in turn receives those same values from everyone in the school.

I am an ex student at this school, and honestly it's taken me a few years to really come up with a way to describe my experience there. For starters, teachers that I had interacted with often are overall apathetic and make it extremely obvious which students they dislike, which is completely unprofessional. I am not here to bash every teacher or staff member that works there because they're are definitely passionate teachers who genuinely are for their students, which is why I wouldn't recommend keeping your kids at this school past elementary. In general it was a pretty unorganized and messy school, often times lacking staff and order. The counselors there didn't provide much help to students that needed it, and the only thing this school seemed to care about at its core was it's image. I have multiple examples of times where this school significantly impacted my overall lack of enthusiasm when it comes to learning as it drained my interests, but of course this is coming from only one perspective. If your thinking of enrolling your child please be mindful of the lack of support this school offers and overall biases that become obvious. Education I'd say is good, it just depends on the teacher really . This school used to be great, unfortunately I think it's only gone downhill from what I've heard.

I would not recommend this school to anyone. This school has mentally drained my kid and ever since i put i them in this school i’ve seen them get so stressed to the point where they start breaking down over the amount of homework they have. My kid was so scared of not doing their homework because of how upset the teachers would get with them. Even when my kid started seeing one of the councilor it seemed like all the councilor cared for was my kids grades and not how they were actually feeling. I have and will always regret putting my kid through this kind of pain because they felt uncomfortable in a place they should be able to feel safe. I’m extremely disappointed in schools like this because theyre the types of schools that make kids lose interest in learning because all they do is get yelled at and get piles of homework stacked in front of them. Even when kids are dealing with personal situations the teachers are so apathetic and will still yell at them for missing an assignment and they are not afraid to talk bad about a student even though they’re right in front of them. I know this school has many positive reviews but they are mostly old and the school has changed a lot and most of the reviews don’t apply to the school. Not to mention that the school is extremely strict to the point to where if they do not complete their homework they are forced to skip recess (which is their only break besides lunch) and stay inside to work on assignment.

I love Escuela de Guadalupe! They prepared my sons for a rigorous curriculum at their college-prep high school. At Escuela, my children had experienced teachers who love teaching. They graduated being completely bilingual. The administration is constantly open to hear parents and communicates very well, and handles things in a timely manner, looking for solutions that work for all. The community feel at Escuela is like a second family, where we feel the support from teachers, administrations, and other parents. Although my sons are graduated from here, those bonds continue now in their high school years and we continue to have a relationship with the parents we've met, the classmates they've had and some of the teachers and staff. We loved our years here.
