She loooooves being a principal, enriching the students lives by supporting special programming and events even outside of the school, and actively/frequently engaging with the parents. The teachers go above and beyond, the school and the area around it are clean, safe, and beautiful. My son attended for two years (Pre-K and Kindergarten) before we moved away but I wish we could've taken the school with us! Ms. Billups, Mrs. Beazer, and Mrs. Bostic are absolute miracle teachers, and Melanie Haley is the best parent liaison any parent could dream of. He encourages all students to be their best, rewards them for positive behavior as well as finds ways to uplift those who are struggling in school. He cares deeply and is incredibly passionate about his career. While the school is large, there is a way for everyone to get involved. Kids are able to participate in all types of activities starting in the 6th grade. There is something for every student to get engaged, involved and ready for life beyond high school. This school has decisive school leaders, strong and very supportive teachers and coaches and true leadership opportunities for students. There are multiple state recognized or state ranked groups and sports teams. "Not much yet. It was neglected for years, but development is finally coming. The new Publix and surrounding shops including a bank helps. There is another retail development going in on Marietta Blvd. Which will bring more restaurants and retail. Hopefully they will make Marietta Blvd more walkable. "
