Read what parents are saying about North Atlanta High SchoolThis is the largest and most diverse high school in Atlanta Public Schools. There is something for every student to get engaged, involved and ready for life beyond high school. This school has decisive school leaders, strong and very supportive teachers and coaches and true leadership opportunities for students. There are multiple state recognized or state ranked groups and sports teams. The acceptance rates to UGA and Georgia Tech out of North Atlanta are impressive and unmatched by any private school in Buckhead.
Posted by a parent on 11/6/2023My two kids are new to US schools and both are in ESOL program. It is well ran and has lots of resources. Overall seems to be very resourceful school: good variety of classes, athletics, extra programs... Overall good experience so far!

Posted by a parent on 1/14/2020Typical mixture for a traditional school, combination of a little outstanding, a lot of mediocre, and some terrible. Overall expect a few dedicated teachers but overall a lot of go along to get along teaching and a "leadership" team that is concerned with ensuring they do nothing that could reflect poorly on them as bureaucrats and administrators.

We are very involved parents and have frequent communication with the teachers, and we support the PTA. The school is always responsive. My only wish is that the school could have actually been located in the heart of Buckhead instead of the Cobb County line. Seems unfair to Buckhead parents. But I know they wanted to include students who otherwise would not have been included. It’s 2018, school at any level is what you put into it, and that core value starts at home.

It's been 2 months and we still can't get a note to tell us about his day. We've done everything and it's been totally exhausting. Teachers are unaccountable. They hate parents- especially fathers. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son attended HSP for 3 years, but ultimately we chose to transfer him to another school. The teachers want to support students with learning differences, but the school lacks the expertise. As stated by many others on this site, administrators are oblivious to the bullying and high stress levels their students experience. Some of the parents are bigger bullies than the kids, but as long as they continue writing checks, everyone looks the other way. Sports (but not Sportsmanship) seem more important than academics at HSP. The Hamm center has been a blessing in helping her achieve the necessary language and literacy skills to thrive as a child who uses spoken language to communicate. Small class sizes and excellent teachers and staff who truly care about the students has been one of the biggest assets.
