Posted by a parent on 12/11/2017I was worried as we moved from outside of the U.S but my son loves the school and is learning really well. Great principal and a wonderful teacher !!!
Posted by a parent on 11/23/2015Edgewood is fantastic! My daughter was new for the 2013-2014 school year. I didn't know what to expect, she came from Wauwatosa which was a "10" school so I was worried! It was such a great surprise the school turned out to be better then I could have expected. The teachers are wonderful! All around we are very happy and even though it took adjusting for my daughter with a new school, she loves it!
Posted by a parent on 8/5/2014After considering a big move I went to this site to look at schools where I plan to move. Out of curiosity I visited my sins current school Edgewood which everyone in our family loves; me (the mother) my husband my mother and father and most importantly my son! My son was born with a speech problem Edgewood was the first one to help now not only can he talk properly... he can read, write and do math very well. This school definitely deserves a much higher rating.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat School. Teachers, Principal, and all staff are great. Our kids love it here. Have been sending my 2 kids here for 3k, 4k, kindergarten and now first grade. They have excellent communication to parents, are making updates/renovations to the building and school grounds as needed.Parent Review1y ago - Elm Dale Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is extremely discriminatory against certain parents and children as well as the school office staff is extremely rude and disrespectful. They brush things under the rug and decide that they will make fun of students in front of their faces and act like they are not doing anything wrong. The office secretary is extremely rude and acts as if she is annoyed by the kiddos coming into the office. They also think they have a law degrees as well as nursing degrees and choose to diagnose children’s ailments without consulting the actual nurse.Parent Review7mo ago - Glenwood Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am thankful that we left Glenwood. My son was there for K-4 until the start of 5th grade, and my daughter went to 3rd grade. The math and actual academics at the school are horrible. We moved to Germantown, and have been working a lot to get our kids up to average when they were both achieving as much as possible at Glenwood. Mrs. Rocha, and some other staff are wonderful, but the school as a whole is run more like a daycare than a school. There is no shortage of parties, fundraisers and other non-academic events, but there is little in the way of academics. If you have the option, look elsewhere.Parent Review2y ago - Maple Grove Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have a son who is special needs. The greenfield special ed team was absolutely HORRIBLE! Faught me on every step to get my son the proper help. We waisted years there. Very disappointed with the lack of caring about these kids education experience.Parent Review1mo ago - Cooper School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSome teachers are fine! But my only concern is Principal Jennifer Doucette. She constantly yells to students. She is very rude, and always pushes students to the edge. Bullying in this school is unacceptable. Please contact MPS About this principle.Parent Review3mo ago - Garland School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGarland is an absolutely amazing school. We live in a nearby suburb but wanted our child in a more diverse environment. We chose to apply for open enrollment. I am so glad we did. The classrooms are nurturing, have high academic rigor, and behavioral accountability. My child has so many friends, LOVES her teachers, and wakes up every morning EXCITED to go. She references her school as part of her family. MPS gets a lot of negative press. This school negates all that. The entire staff is warm, welcoming, and professional. You can tell they enjoy their jobs. I highly recommend this school if you want your child to love learning and form lasting friendships in a warm classroom. High standards, behavior support, accountability, and respectful classroom behavior- if thats what you want look no further.Parent Review1y ago - Whitman School
