Expedition Elementary

Safety was one of my main concerns in light of recent years, not only is the school completely closed off, but the staff take to learning as many faces as they can and which students go to who for pickup/drop off so there are absolutely no incidents. There was a peaceful protest outside the high school/middle school next door and they kept all elementary students inside during pickup and walked the students to cars. Teachers have been great, we’ve had kids in K-3 and met many more staff who are all lovely and genuinely care even at the end of the year. Lunches have been healthy with great options. All information is sent out in a timely manner with updates as needed, including any concerns. There are portables on campus.

We’ve had an exceptional experience at this school from day one. The teachers — from music and art to the core classroom educators — have been consistently supportive, caring, and invested in student success. Many hold master’s degrees and board certifications, exceeding what’s typical in nearby districts, which speaks volumes about their dedication and expertise.The administration and PTA do an excellent job communicating about events and opportunities, and parent involvement was obvious right from “Back to School Night.” You really feel welcomed as part of a team working together for the kids.If you’re reading reviews because you want your children to have a great school experience, my advice is: get involved. A strong partnership between families and schools benefits everyone. Research shows kids who thrive — both in school and in life — have parents who are present and engaged in their sports, studies, and daily growth.This is not just a great school; it’s a great community. We feel lucky to be part of it.
