Everett Christian School

I really love Hawthorne Elementary. The front office staff takes the cake. The teachers are top tier. I was hesitant because I’ve heard schools in lower income areas tend to struggle. I’ve had only good experiences at Hawthorne. I have one kid going into 4th and another going into 1st grade next year (2024-2025) and I’m excited to see how they connect and thrive next year.

The teachers are amazing! The principal and senior staff at this school are extremely unprofessional. They fail to protect the children who are following the rules and cater to the bullies. Parents are allowed to behave in an intimidating manner as long as they are friends with the staff. To many politics in their PTA and it is NOT a welcoming environment. My child was physically assaulted by another student and nothing was done about it. My child suffered a huge blow to the head with a massive goose on the back from being thrown against a brick wall by a bully and NOTHING was done.

Great school for the kids. Classes are organized and the teachers do a great job of teaching the children. Large outdoor are for the kids to play too!

The teachers at this school are amazing. Both my kids have had amazing teachers. But the principal is rude and seems annoyed with special education students and prefers to send them to other schools. There's a lot of tension between teachers and the principal. It is awkward.

This is my son’s first year at Whittier and I have really seen him thrive compared to where he spent his kindergarten year. I absolutely love the staff and his teacher. My 5 year old will be starting at Whittier for kindergarten next near and couldn’t be more pleased. This is hands down the best school in the area by far! On the first day of school when I picked my son up he said “mom there’s like absolutely NO bullies at this school!” and I was SO thankful to hear him say that. I recommend this school to everyone.
