My kids have attended other schools in the DFW and this was, by far, the worst experience EVER!!!

I attended TCHS and it was a wonderful school. I've read a few of the negative reviews and most seem to be coming from parents defending their children's poor behavior/academic performance. The other negative reviews are from students that have failed to fit in or think they are more intelligent that the faculty and/or other students. To the parents I would say: Schools have rules and it is your job to make sure your child adheres to them. If your child is being punished for tardiness or other infractions it's your fault not the schools. To the students: TCHS isn't out to get you... If you are not fitting in or feel you are being "tortured" at school then I have news for you. The real world is a LOT harder than high school! Suck it up and make some friends to have your back.

My son attended The Colony High School and obtained his high school diploma. He made lots of friends there and felt it was a very safe school.

I retired from teaching mathematics at TCHS after being there for 22 years. I feel that 90% of the teachers at this school are dedicated teachers and want the best for their students. The staff is also very conscience of safety at the school. The administration is supportive of the teachers and the students. TCHS has a wonderful fine arts program, athletic program and a great JROTC program. The administration and staff continuously strive to learn and use the best teaching methods and to structure their curriculum to meet the needs of ALL students. The science and mathematics departments are filled with high dedicated and enthusiastic instructors that prepare students in all aspects of STEM subjects. The AP program and AVID programs are also outstanding. Overall, if a student is willing to come to school to be successful in academics, prepare for college and be socially responsible, this is the place to achieve those goals.
