Read what parents are saying about B B Owen Elementary SchoolBB Owen has been great so far! I love the fact that there is only 2 classes per grade (I think 4th or 5th grade has 3 classes). I’m not a fan of the tardies, but that’s on me getting my child to school on time as well. I wish there were more extracurricular activities for the kids, but we started during COVID and of course that’s still a thing. The teachers are all great and the specials are engaging and fun. I don’t have too many complaints at all.
Posted by a parent on 9/6/2022I love BBOwen more than any other elementary school. The teachers care about your grades and have a great PALS and Lunch Bunch program for children that are struggling with their home life.
Posted by a community member on 5/15/2019Honestly the friendliest person at this school is the crossing guard. Best teacher is the coach, he is very friendly and cares. Othe teachers are super snobby, teachers don't even know who you are and i have participated in many events at the school. Everyone has there group. They get very carried away with the tardiness. Even if the child is a minute late they will make them get a tardie slip. Chill out they are children. Let's focus on more teaching then a minute late to the classroom. Can't wait to move and get out of this school district!!!!
Posted by a parent on 4/27/2015The worst school my child has ever attended. Poorly ran School , I feel their is a safety concern....no school should allow bday spankings by the coach. Bullies are allowed to pick on kids and victims are mistreated.
Posted by a parent on 5/8/2014It is okay as far as schools go. If your not part of the "in crowd" you will be snubbed by parents and staff. If your children are having learning issues they do not do anything. They do have an awesome coach but all the other departments are lacking such as science and music. The extra stuff they do is really corny and unorganized. My child was ahead for their age group and now is behind. I have had to reteach subjects at home because my child didn't even know how to do the homework. After being rethought child does much better. I think popularity comes before learning with parents and staff and it rubs off on the children.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI always believe in the importance of fair play and the teachers that I had were the ones that taught me the importance of fair play and to also remember the importance of building the courage to stand up to people and respect for others. I liked watching Arthur and I believe that it is a good way to be a hands-on learner. I always believe in the fact that first impressions are crucial. If I have my favorite moments of Morningside is that the teachers are fairly understanding of people and that I believe in the importance of where you came from, because it may do you a huge favor. If I have my own kids, then I believe that this school will be recommended. Thomas WigginLeft Morningside since 2008Other Review2mo ago - Peters Colony Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my boys attended this school for K-5. They absolutely loved their experience. As a mom, my opinion was always valued. The staff is absolutely amazing! They care about each student and push them to reach their greatest potential! The front office staff is knowledgeable and kind in all of my encounters. I am so thankful for the staff and this school community!Parent Review11mo ago - Legacy Christian Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a truly horrible environment to put your child in. I attended school here for over 10 years and am still working through the trauma I endured here. There are a few good teachers that truly care but the administration is truly awful. Not to mention the many scandals that get swept under the rug due to them involving staff members in favor with those in power. Do yourself a favor and please do your research before sending your child here. I have never been in a more hypocritical or judgmental environment. I also am no longer religious due to experiencing such hypocrisy and hate in a “loving Christian environment.” While things may seem great at first, the Christian lovebombing and smoke and mirrors will fade and the true hellish environment of this hateful place will leave you questioning your faith in Christianity.Other Review9mo ago - Hosp Elementary School
