Read what parents are saying about Spell Well Montessori SchoolWe have had our child in the infant program since she was about two months old. As first-time parents, we were nervous, but the Principal was very experienced and knowledgeable. She has had that school for almost 40 years and has stuck to tried and tested methods (and not fads) when it comes to daycare and Montessori. The staff was very responsive and gave each child a lot of attention. They do not crowd kids into rooms and simply put on tv. They do real activities and send reports home daily. The building is beautiful with lovely night sky murals on the ceiling in the front. They have a theater, performing arts venue, science lab, and many other additions. The playground is unique due to the big plot of land and they have a veggie garden for the kids. They really are big on accountability and growth. Our child has a solid moral compass, curiosity, confidence, and good character: all things that the school strives to inculcate. I saw children there that were the children of parents who went to Spellwell themselves years earlier. That is a testament to the impact a well-run school can have on an individual and broader society. Honors kids from high school come back and visit. The staff looks like a close-knit team and the principal has vision. Wonderful place
Posted by a parent on 3/24/2024My daughter has attended Spellwell Montessori since she was 9 weeks old. She has transitioned seamlessly through the classrooms and various age groups. There was open communication daily about what she did or if she needed any supplies. The teachers always greet us with a smile and stories about my daughter from the day. I was worried when I had to leave her at a daycare and be a way. However, I never felt like I was missing out on anything. I highly recommend the program to all parents.
Posted by a parent on 3/21/2024PHENOMENAL SCHOOL!! Both of my daughters have attended Spell Well for many years. The Head of School, Teachers, and front staff are all exceptional and make all students feel comfortable and loved. The infant program is fantastic and provides student-teacher ratios that can help parents feel comfortable knowing their child will be always monitored and cared for. Spell Well provides individualistic learning styles to accommodate all students. Spell Well does an extraordinary job at cultivating students’ talents and interests, while simultaneously instilling a love for learning, reading and creative thinking. Spell Well has provided my daughters with skillsets to be used for a lifetime.
Posted by a parent on 1/4/2024I attended Spell Well in preschool many years ago and I've been so happy to share the same environment with my children now. Their growth from a tiny home to what it is today has been impressive. I would recommend this school to anyone looking as they have maintained a high level education and the same loving environment even through their growth to a much larger school.
Posted by a parent on 11/17/2023The structure of Montessori school was new to us, after touring multiple facilities we chose Spellwell. We love that our kids are not only safe, but taught and cared for by the staff here. The skills they are learning at 4 years and 2 years old are already transferring into our home life. They love their school and also we do!

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageJust moved here and regretting letting my children come to this school. Only a month in and my child has anxiety which she never did before due to bullying and teachers who either don’t care or who also bully the students. Looking for a charter or private school starting tomorrow. My poor daughter can’t sleep knowing she has to go to this school in the morning. Never had ever hated school before. This is not right.Parent Review2y ago - Haude Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageKindergarten teacher would yell at students. I was a homeroom mom and witnessed the teacher humiliating a female student in front of the class for something minor. The girl was on the verge of tears. Another parent told me her son would cry every morning because he didn't want to go to school. He said the teacher was mean and yelled all the time. My son would become overwhelmed and cry almost every day in class. He received no help from the teacher or the counselor. I tried getting help from the counselor as well but she was useless. After being told by the teacher my kid had crying issues because of MY parenting (yes, she said my parenting made him a crier), I took him to a child therapist who assured me he was completely normal and well-adjusted. Several parents, including me, complained to Principal Wall about the teacher but nothing was done. Years later, the teacher is still there. I hear she is still receiving complaints. My son has been attending a different school the last two years and is thriving. He is well-liked by his teachers, his grades have improved-all As-, and his standardized test scores improved significantly-50th/60th percentile to 90th/95th percentile. He is much happier now that he is in a supportive, encouraging environment. No more tears! I would never send him back to Haude. I made the mistake of sending him for 3 years. I did not make that mistake with my daughter. She never went to Haude. She and my son love their current school and have never once been yelled at by their teachers.Parent Review11mo ago - Ehrhardt Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have had problems with this school for years. I honestly thought nothing could be worse than the former Principal but I was wrong. There is no compassion or empathy for children as far as I can tell. This is a real disappointment.Parent Review3y ago - Ponderosa Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIve been a parent to multiple students at Ponderosa Elementary for roughly 4-5 years now.Not to say it was the best to school to Begin with, but the recent change are atrocious. Now the New Kindergarten teacher is extremely great, she has my little 1 reading in KG! But other than that, its as if the other teachers don't take their job seriously, at times it seems like a complete joke. Everything from little kids fighting on a daily basis... to little elementary school kids being caught Vaping....Where are the teachers? On top of that the School majority amount Group Punishment...for an entire grade level... For example...if 1 3rd child talks at the wrong time...All 3rd grade children are punished. Pure Laziness!Along with the fact that it seems the Teachers are absolutely overwhelmed, this website 1 teacher per 14 students? absolute joke, try more like 24-30 students per teacher. That's why Group Punishment is favored... other than individually taking time to address the students... they have too many to address... They where short staff on Bus Drivers... so they hired a bunch of Temp's... who would literally drop children off miles from their bus stop, simply at the wrong address...Ignore the child when they tell you its the wrong stop, tell them to walk. Happening to 1 child 1 time. Ok, Mistakes are understandable..But multiple children being dropped at the wrong location....multiple times... also being forcfully held on a bus due to ignorant Bus Driver. Safe to say the School is Circling the Gutter if not already in it, Luckily enough its definitely my last year with this School.Parent Review1y ago - Greengate Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am only writing this to help...I am an educator, and this is the last place I would take my child. The accelerated work is not age appropriate and the owner is extremely unprofessional and sneaky. Beware.Parent Review2y ago
