Elrod Elementary School

This school has little to no urgency when it comes to special needs students. It’s ridiculous. It’s extremely disappointing when you have your child fully registered, provide all the correct documentations in a timely manner and my child still doesn’t have a teach? School starts in 3 days! Continues to deny my child as a special needs student even though ALL his medical paperwork says otherwise? Do yall even review their IEPs? Makes sense when google reviews are down to 3.4 stars and they described their reviews.

I have had 2 daughters in the Dual language program at LVE starting in Kindergarten and it’s been an amazing experience for our family. Our daughters are being challenged and supported by top tier educators and counselors. I recommend the LVE Dual Language department to all of my friends. I’m very grateful and proud of the leadership skills and experiences that my daughters have been given.

They don’t care if your child is getting bullied, REFUSE to intervene. Next I will be filing police reports on all students put their hands on my kids. My daughter is here getting harassed by 4 boys and the principal said to “get home faster” are you kidding me?! The parents of these kids need to also be held accountable. And I promise they will be, as will the teachers for failing to do the basics of ensuring child safety.

We have been very happy with our children attending NWC. From our own experience the staff goes out of their way to make kids feel safe, seen and supported.

Overall I do not recommend this school. My son has attended since kindergarten and is now in third grade. He has slipped through the cracks and is still at a kindergarten level. Despite being told he is progressing over and over when in reality he is not and our family had to outsource tutoring. The administration is continually changing, the teachers are usually out due to whatever reasons meaning you will see a lot of subs often. The lack of communication between years is horrific. I will say you do get the occasional nice teacher which only happened once for my son then he had a sub for the rest of the year. From his first year he had a teacher that should have retired , allot of the teachers you see will have no patience and yelling is what they think helps. This school has really gone down hill. Think highly of not sending your child here because they do not have any plans in place for bullying either and you will need to advocate for your child big time here. Unexperienced and unprofessional school.

We would like to respectfully request consideration for our grandson, Anthony De Los Santos, to remain at Myers Elementary.Anthony has been a student at Myers Elementary since kindergarten, and over the years, he has built strong relationships with his teachers, staff, and peers. He feels safe, supported, and genuinely happy in this environment. Myers Elementary is more than just a school to him—it is a place where he has grown both academically and emotionally.We understand the importance of school district policies and sincerely apologize for not communicating our recent move. It was never our intention to be dishonest, but rather a decision made out of concern for Anthony’s well-being and stability.Anthony has expressed significant distress at the thought of transferring schools. We are deeply concerned that such a sudden change could negatively impact his academic performance, emotional health, and overall progress.We want to assure you that transportation is not an issue. We personally drop him off and pick him up each day, and will continue to do so consistently.We are respectfully asking for your understanding and compassion in allowing Anthony to remain at Myers Elementary, where he feels secure, motivated, and connected.Thank you for taking the time to consider our request.
