Eisenhower Middle School

Both my girls attended this school and we loved it. The curriculum is on point.

The work life balance of the teachers is awful. The fact that they placed a high volume of students that have special needs in a new teachers class room speaks volumes about the principal and the support staff. Kids deserve quality time management, not rushed to met standards. I am so disappointed with this school. I recommend the schedule be changed immediately to accommodate quality time for both students and teachers. You can not rush education the way Larkspur has. So very disappointed.Thinking about it a little more, Dr. Miller the principal should be beyond disappointed himself for setting up his staff to fail. He has kids himself and I am sure he would not accept this management of his kids in the school they attend. Do better DOCTOR MILLER. So very disappointed. Kids and teachers deserve better.I will be posting this on all websites.

This Catholic school was a deeply disappointing experience, starting with the priest and the church leadership. They claim to offer discounted tuition, but in reality you are required to pay an additional $50 every month, and they explicitly tell you how much you must give. It feels less like a voluntary contribution and more like a mandatory fee disguised as charity.What’s even more troubling is the complete lack of privacy. Personal matters are openly discussed and spread around, making it feel like your private business becomes public knowledge. There is no sense of confidentiality or respect.If you are not from San Antonio, and especially if you are a foreigner, do not expect to feel welcomed. Instead of inclusion and compassion—values the church claims to stand for—you are made to feel like an outsider.Overall, this environment is judgmental, unwelcoming, and far from the values a Catholic institution should represent. I would not recommend this school to families looking for respect, transparency, or genuine faith-based education

Brooks is perfect if you’re looking for a school that is a-ok. There is nothing especially remarkable about brooks, if I were to name everything bad about brooks then I’d have a long list, some teachers aren’t competent or teach the wrong subject then what they have a degree in, advisory periods are short and there isn’t enough time to finish work. There are multiple buildings and you will never find yourself lucky enough for all your classes to be in just one unless you are in elementary. When you are late to class you might find yourself just giving up waiting to be let in and passing time in the bathroom. The cafeteria is a gymnasium, and there is a serious line cutting problem on Wednesdays during the upper school lunch period. As far as I know, there is no bullying, but ruthless pestering from students you don’t know in its place. Some students don’t have enough respect to pass time silently so they are a menace the entire 90 minutes. However, it’s EXTREMELY easy to find, and fit into a group of friends as long as you aren’t delusional(there’s a clique for that too) and the school counselors actually help and have a sense of humor, the classes are fun if you make them and it’s extremely easy to actually have fun here since the school has lots of events and stuff(and it’s extremely easy to skip class with a good enough excuse).So do I recommend sending your kid here? ABSOLUTELY. Will they hate and conspire against you until they get used to it? Totally. Will they prefer to stay there after a year there, yea.
