Read what parents are saying about Arlyne & Alan Weber Elementary SchoolI moved into clear creek thinking it is a good school district but boy was it the biggest mistake of my life!!! My daughter started in 2nd grade, she is now in 5th grade and she have NEVER had more than one 2 minute math worksheet per WEEK for homework!!! 3rd grade she had a newly graduated first year teacher, NEVER gave out hw in her whole school year. I thought well better luck next year. 4th grade came around and she also have ANOTHER first year teacher, freshly out of college and also didn't believe in giving out homework. 5th grade came around n I guess she have about 2 work sheets every week. She have different teachers for different subjects this year so she have more work to do.That's not all, I have 2 children who started pre-k and guess what??? They have PROJECTS left n right, every single month I have to do 2 projects for them!! Yes, I, ME!! NOT THE KIDS because it requires cutting, drawing, decorating, things that a 3 year old cannot do yet!! And now, December comes around and one of my pre-k kid have to do 2 projects. They keep requiring pictures, asking for pictures pictures pictures! I spent so much money on developing pictures already and they keep asking for my pictures for these projects! I'm getting so fed up with this school! The older kids who needs homework to keep them occupied after school will NEVER get any, and then the 3 yrs olds who cannot do projects will get plenty of projects for the parents to do!!!! I need them to give homework to my children, NOT ME!!!! I have also emailed the principle about why my 3rd & 4th grader never get any homework and I haven't heard anything back for the past year..
Posted by a parent on 11/19/2015When my daughter Breanna attended this school I really enjoyed it, the teacher was very involved in her learning and she just enjoyed going to school, if I ever had any concerns, getting a conference with the teacher was never an issue. The ONLY issue I did have, was the office staff, they are not very polite, never smile, or even say Thank You, the school could use new office staff to make this school even more exceptional!
Posted by a parent on 2/2/2015We love the school. It is so convenient to our residence. However, our daughters say the cafeteria needs to provide better food, pizza tastes dry, the smashed potato tastes like water

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter had came from a private school and she was great and on board with her lessons until she came to Southbelt. The teacher does not have an after school learning program like most elementary, they have to many students in the classroom. The teacher does not have enough time to take time out to assist my child. When they said my child needed summer school she went and they still end up holding her back a grade. Had to take her out and place her in a charter school to be place in the right grade. The charter school agreed and was glad that I have did the right thing by taking her out of Southbelt. I really don’t like to pull the race card but I really felt like my child was not getting the proper education their the assistant principal didn’t make it any better. I have notice it was at least 3% of black and Hispanic held back a grade at the time of my daughter.Parent Review4y ago - Rustic Oak Elementary School
