From what I have seen, the teachers all have an invested interest in their students. They try very hard to include parents and create as many opportunities as possible for parents to be involved. I wish we had more parent involvement, but I would possibly feel that anywhere. This is a great school that celebrates diversity and culture. The district is terrible, one-sided and self-serving. So it's no wonder this school has maintained as many wonderful teachers as they have. *Also, the district voted to disband the dual-language program... so if you see it listed anywhere, it will be eliminated at this campus after the 2026-2027 school year. ** The building itself is the oldest elementary in the district, and I believe it is first on the agenda for improvements.Parent Review7mo ago - Cannon Elementary School

Poor administrator. Lack of support. To say this is a school that’s above average would be misleading, when children can pass the STAAR with 35% and at least more than half don’t meet standards. The teaching is top notch and we got to do so many fun and exciting projects! I had severe anxiety, and this school helped me overcome that in the best way.
