McMath Middle School

This is such a wonderful school with so many spectacular and caring teachers/staff. Our daughter has absolutely THRIVED in this school. She comes home everyday so happy to tell me all about what she's learned, and all the new friends she's made (even outside of her class). We are so thankful to all of Borman's staff, specifically Mrs. Hoff, for guiding our daughter to a brighter and kinder future. Thank you!!!

As a retired teacher and librarian, it has been my privilege to volunteer at Alexander for six years. During that time, i have been continually impressed by the dedication of the exemplary staff as well as the level of parent involvement. Students at Alexander are generally happy to be at school and learning with enthusiasm and curiosity.

I punched a kid here i got kicked out

The leadership at Sam Houston is phenomenal. Teacher turnover is very low and most teachers retire from here after long careers. They have been wonderful with my children and have created a great environment for learning. PTA is also incredibly supportive and work very hard to benefit the students. Great school!!!

I honestly don’t understand how the district hasn’t stepped in yet, the decline of this elementary school has been obvious for a while now. The principal was replaced and sent to a school that’s now on the verge of closing, which says a lot, but instead of real accountability it feels like problems are just being moved around. Meanwhile, students, families, and staff are left dealing with the consequences, and that’s not okay, our kids deserve better than a school district that seems to look the other way.

My only complaint is, I think that the teachers can be more welcoming in the mornings when helping the kids get out of the car they don’t say good morning. Have a great day. Nothing they don’t even have a smile on their face..

My daughter attends Nelson and she loves it!! The teachers are warm and welcoming. Every single teacher she's had went above and beyond to make sure she grew academically but also socially. They did an amazing job building relationships and was always so friendly and welcoming. I love Nelson Elementary!
