Read what parents are saying about Mockingbird Elementary It was a great school socially but there wasn’t a lot of opportunities for more one on one learning such as after school tutoring.
Posted by a parent on 1/20/2024Highly involved faculty and parents. Our daughter absolutely loves it. She has appreciated seeing other kids who look like her (her old school was not diverse). Teachers like hearing from parents and the principal is fantastic. Our daughter gets the support she needs. We have been very pleased with our experience thus far.
Posted by a parent on 12/18/2021Mockingbird is an incredible school to be a part of and I would recommend the school anyone looking to move within the DISD footprint.
Posted by a parent on 9/25/2019The parent engagement is amazing. And the students receive a top notch education.
Posted by a parent on 7/28/2019Great school climate and culture. It feels more like a family than a school.

The teachers here are amazing and are so involved in the kids lives. It’s also ethnically diverse. I couldn’t ask for a better school or better people to be in my kid’s life.Parent Review1y ago - John F Kennedy Learning Center

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are in our second year at LMS and it is one of the best decisions we have made for our 3yo son. We love it! The teachers are wonderful and the Montessori environment has helped him to develop his communication, interpersonal skills, independence, and critical thinking skills at his own pace. It is also such a supportive community and we are so happy to have this amazing resource right in our neighborhood!Parent Review7mo ago - St Christophers Montessori School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDue to moving, we have been at several different daycares and Pre-K’s. SCMS far exceeds every other program my child has attended. Academically he is thriving in this environment. He loves going to school every day. Every time I come to pick him up, one of his teachers is gently rocking and comforting one of the kiddos singing to them how she loves them and “mommy is coming.” She intuitively knows who’s struggling and supports children’s emotional needs. Isn’t that what we want as parents, someone to love our kids as we would in our absence? I could go on and on, but I am so grateful to SMCS for my son’s educational supports and care. As a former gifted education working at top schools across the state, I truly wouldn’t send him anywhere else. My little guy ended up getting into a well known , top public Montessori Pre-K, which would save me, a single mom by choice, a good hunk of change. I am opting to keep him at SCMS, forgoing his coveted lottery spot. I know I’m not the only other SCMS parent that made the same choice. I think that says it all.Parent Review10mo ago - Zion Lutheran School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSolar Prep continues to impress me at every opportunity. My daughter is in the Dual Language Pre-K program. It has been an incredible year already. Her teachers - Mrs. Reyna & Mrs. Arellano - are amazing. Mrs. Gonzalez and Mrs. Garza from the other Pre-K class are too.Volunteering with the school has given me an up close look at the school - curriculum, events, projects and field trips. All of which exceed my expectations. The teachers who welcome the carpool line, the office staff, administrators, music, sports, art instructors - every single person I’ve met and interacted with is kind and supportive.Parents whose daughters have been here for years all have great things to say as well. We’re super lucky and proud to be Solar Trailblazers!Parent Review5mo ago - Solar Prep for Boys at John F Kennedy
