6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePatton Elementary is an incredible school that has grown and evolved significantly over the years, becoming a cornerstone of West Oak Hill’s rapidly improving community. As the neighborhood transforms and attracts new families, the positive impact on the school has been remarkable. With property values rising and tax dollars flowing into local schools, Patton has benefitted greatly, becoming a hub for parents who prioritize education and community. One of the standout aspects of Patton Elementary is its phenomenal staff. Over the last two years, I’ve witnessed a shift in teacher engagement and dedication. The faculty here go above and beyond, fostering an environment where students not only learn but thrive. The curriculum is innovative and enriching, tailored to encourage curiosity and critical thinking, which has been a huge draw for families moving into the area. The staff is warm, approachable, and committed to creating a nurturing space for children, ensuring they feel supported every step of the way. What sets Patton apart even more is the changing demographic of West Oak Hill. As the area becomes more sought after, it’s bringing in amazing families who are invested in their children’s success and the school’s progress. Over the last two years, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting incredible parents who share a passion for education and community building. These connections have been one of the highlights of my time here, and it’s bittersweet now that my son has graduated.Year after year, I’ve seen noticeable progress at Patton. Post-pandemic, the school has made tremendous strides in creating a positive and effective learning environment. From the quality of programs to the upgraded facilities, everything seems to be moving in the right direction. It’s heartening to know that this school is a place where children are encouraged to reach their potential, supported by engaged teachers and like-minded families. If you’re considering West Oak Hill, Patton Elementary is a shining example of why this area is worth investing in. The combination of a growing, vibrant community and a school that consistently improves makes this neighborhood a fantastic choice for families. Highly recommend both the school and the area—it’s a place where education and community truly come together.Parent Review1y ago19 Reviews - Boone Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI don't like this school at especially because they put demon hunters to the classmates of my nephew. They confuse the kids making them believe that demons can become good. I'm sorry but that's unacceptable. I won't and will never recommend this school to anyone I know. Please don't go to this school.Other Review7mo ago16 Reviews - Mills Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur daughter went to Mills for her KG in 2024. The school is great! The staffs are very helpful and kind. We are not sure about her classmates. They were just kids, they always made comments on skin color of our daughter. Someone told her that her skin color is brown as potty. Someone took her coat we never found her coat from the school. We didn't know what happened to her coat. That was one of her favorite coats. We complained about all to her class teacher but we didn't know she did anything or not. Our daughter likes to go to school very much from beginning of her school life. Last year she didn't want to go to school anymore. I stopped to mail her teacher anymore about these. Because I thought she might think I am "making complaint about everything type mom". We told our daughter to stay low not to react or what else we could do. Our daughter was so sad to hear comments about her skin color specially. She never experienced this before as we moved from different state. She didn't like that school much neither did we.Skin color comments are really horrible and that makes kid very uncomfortable. She always asked me at that time why aren't all have same skin color? We were in rent at that time we moved after her KG and bought a home in different area.We went for Mills seeing it's reviews as moved from different state but didn't workout for us or rather for our daughter. We don't want to let any other kids to experience this like our daughter.Thank you.Parent Review8mo ago12 Reviews - Austin Montessori Great Northern Campus

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe fell in love at first. Some mentors recommended the school because their children had a great experience twenty years ago. I do not know when things changed, but the romance with the school was short lived. We looked forward to the parent education classes and adult community. They kept asking for more money: for groceries, for staff salaries, for fundraising this and that. Attend a parent education class? Pay a fee! School admins wanted to raise capital. No context for what the funds are used for. And then, the school fired all of the fundraisers and talked about hiring cheaper ones. It all felt strange. Why do you charge so much tuition and still need more money? And they have millions of dollars in the bank!Parent Review1mo ago2 Reviews - Bannockburn Christian Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter came home with ticks on more than one occasion. Administration were defensive and blamed us: how do we know that the ticks were from school? Because it's on her chest and tummy and wasn't there in the morning. The school does not do have a pest control contract. Be mindful.Parent Review1mo ago30 Reviews
