NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhitewashed history starting in 4th grade. There is little racial education in this school. Keep in mind that this school is also extremely racially stratified. Maybe 10% of the kids are non-white. (This is mainly due to SES racial distribution in general) but that 10% is not represented in the curriculum. You can expect to hear slurs and there be no recourse. This school has a race problem, in that it prefers to be color blind. Also their Native American studies in lower school are extremely insensitive. You learn how to throw a tomahawk from a white dude wearing deer hide, but not about the trail of tears or the Dawes Act. Only evidence of racial education is AP US history in 11th grade which only 20% of the students will take (not the ones who need it) (From a K-12 student)Other Review1y ago
