Cordova Middle School

We had plans on attending a different school, after unforeseen circumstances we found Heritage Baptist. We are so blessed for the way things happened and the opportunity to be a part of this wonder school! The entire faculty and staff pour so much love into every student. The academics, social, and emotional growth we’ve seen has exceeded our expectations. The foundation for phonics, numbers sense, and a love for Christ couldn’t be better.

Significant Concerns — Do Thorough Research Before EnrollingWe were initially very impressed with the school’s facilities. The campus presents well and made a strong first impression during our tour. Unfortunately, our experience after enrolling was very different.We experienced ongoing concerns with leadership and communication. When issues were brought forward, we did not feel they were handled with the level of professionalism or accountability we expected. Conversations were purely defensive if not hostile rather than solution-focused.Academically, we were disappointed with what appeared to be a heavy reliance on worksheets and independent assignments. We had hoped for more structured instruction and active teaching. This did not align with our expectations for the tuition being paid.

ECS is a school that truly cares for its students and families. They see the importance of viewing every part of life through the Gospel lens. They teach our children to do everything (academics, athletics, fine arts, etc) for the Glory of God.

My experience at St.Francis was absolutely amazing everyone is really welcoming no matter the race they are all super sweet, every teacher in that school is amazing they all care about you and listen to you. St. Francis of Assisi is also a very safe place and everyone is treated equally.They care about your well being and ever teacher and faculty always have a smile on there face. They make you feel interested in learning and also make you excited to get up in the morning yes there are strict teachers but later on you realize they were just trying to help you at the moment you don’t realize it until later.I personally LOVE SFA

We were trying to give this public school a chance.... I'm not impressed with Macon Hall Elementary School in Cordova Tn... My grandson will be returning to private school immediately...

This school has one of the most negative environments I had seen. Parents were never involved. Teachers were always in a crappy mood. They are unorganized. Kids were constantly punished and it was the same kids sitting a lone in class or at lunch. How is a kid supposed to have better behavior when you keep punishing him instead of helping him? I remember what was supposed to be a field day was such a joke. One game was played and all they did was sit on the grass. So glad my kids was able to leave. Unfortunately, until now, they're school traffic at pick-up in the afternoons is a mess. I remember the principal was a parent at another mscs school and was on the PTA. Which she would have given the same effort as a principal.
