Read what parents are saying about Grandview El SchoolThe staff get to know each of the students by name. Lots of family nights, offers 3 different reading programs for students struggling with reading.
Posted by a parent on 2/13/2017Lower class level of teachers just recently entered Grandview. Ridge field Elementary school closed for a reason. Grandview absorbed some or all of the staff. The 4th grade former Ridgefield teacher uses insults as opposed to praises for the children. If your child is going there, request a Grandview teacher. They are wonderful, classy, caring and communicated very well when we had those teachers.
Posted by a parent on 5/29/2014Grandview Elementary offers excellent teachers and support staff! Each one gets to know you on a one on one level. The PTA is strong and it shows through in the activities they offer students! Students are challenged at each grade level in their daily work and special projects during the school year. Grandview is not my children's home school in the district. I choose to send my children there - - and it's no wonder Grandview is consistently ranked #1 School Choice Elementary School in the Millcreek Township School District.
Posted by a parent on 9/13/2011I would probably chose a more parent friendly school if I had to relocate. Too many kids, not enough staff. I only find out about 'issues' well past the period of supportive correction. And my child is a good student.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy oldest attended 2 years of preschool/pre-k at South Hills and now my youngest is finishing up his second year of preschool. South Hills laid the groundwork for the skills they need to be prepared for kindergarten. Their teachers throughout the 4 years have always been available when we had concerns or questions. The director, Miss Connie, is wonderful with the children, and is involved in music and story time on a daily basis. My children learned sign language, sight words, writing and how to follow the rules of the classroom. I couldn't be happier with South Hills and recommend it to friends with little ones all the time.Parent Review7y ago - Villa Maria Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere aren't enough words to adequately describe this school. The education is top notch and the overwhelming amount of extra programs is wonderful. Lake Erie Ballet, guitar, piano, voice lessons and band are a few areas that lessons are offered. Swimming lessons and various athletic programs are also a part of the things that makes Villa more than just a school. The teachers care about every child and those children are taught respect and given discipline because they are loved. This school is helping me provide the world with an asset not a handicap. The Villa difference has to be experienced not just read about.Other Review8y ago - St Jude School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter went to OLCS and we both felt very out of place at this school. Very snobby and moany cliques at this school. We are not a weathy family and most of the other families are very weathly. My daughter never got invited to any outside school event. Parents never said hi to me or even tried to get to know me. We where there 5 years and we finially left. We found another catholic school that was way more welcoming and warm hearted.Parent Review9y ago - St. George Catholic School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePoorly run from the top down. Issues with classroom teacher which was then brought to the principal after several attempts to have the teacher respond and didn’t. Principal made excuses for the teacher being older and not being up with technology. Issues with communication and knowing assignments and then child being placed in the hallway for not finishing work in class. Superintendent was then contacted and did nothing. Removed child from the school and they’re demanding payment even when child is no longer attending. Spent over $100 on classroom supplies and the teacher and school have not returned any of the unused supplies that were asked for. Sad to think that this is how a Catholic school is run. Child was in aftercare also and had safety concerns when child was picked up and no one asked the person for their name or identification to make sure they were cleared to pick the child up.Parent Review1y ago - Montessori Children's House Of
