Marist High School

My son has been physically assaulted at this school by fellow students and there has been minimal intervention. Now, he is being harassed by teaching staff and coming home in tears from adults cruel words. Not ok.

The parking lot is extremely dangerous for children. There are no lot attendants out there supervising the parking lot. Parents speed and cut off kids that are walking through the parking lot to get a parking spot. They also park in the handicap spots when they no right to park there. My daughter’s first grade teachers don’t communicate with the parents and they let kids disrupt the class with no consequences. My daughters told me that first grade is easier than Kindergarten.

We LOVE El Camino Del Rio!! We are a family of educators who have been in the district for a combined 36 years with friends and colleagues at nearly every school, and we would not even entertain the notion of sending our girls anywhere else. The 3/10 rating this site gives is absurd and borderline offensive. My sense is that the process by which they rate schools (read: standardized test scores) is just thinly veiled code for how white and wealthy the neighborhood's families are. I would very much like to sit down with the folks at GreatSchools to discuss how they could be so wrong about so much.

This school is stellar! Sheila Minney and her teachers go all out to make this school inviting, fun, and well structured for learning. My kids have excelled here and love their teachers and how they are challenged to excel. All four teachers that my kids have had are fully dedicated and super sweet and empowering for the kids in their class. Best elementary ever!!!!!!!!!

The current principal is Stephanie Randall. Great background with multicultural communities. Welcoming of new ideas and suggestions, specially regarding students. Her open door policy is greatly appreciated. Supportive of her staff and encouraging to her students. A complete 360 moving forward. Our amity teachers are carefully selected from different countries to purposely enrich different cultural expectations/experiences.

Outstanding school! My daughter has attended Corridor for 6 years and has learned so much. The school focuses on the performing arts which is right in line with my daughter's talents and interests. The teachers care and it shows in how they handle the students. The school is a small, tightly knit community. Send your kids to Corridor with confidence!
