Philosophy: A Modern Academy

This is a top notch school! I have had five children attend Darnaby, and we have loved the school, the teachers, and principle.

I have four children and they have all attended Carnegie. I’ve seen many teachers come and go over the years at this school but some core ones have remained and that seems to set a higher bar for new hires compared to most schools. This school attracts good teachers that care about kids. The culture is one of learning and discipline problems and any bullying is addressed swiftly. It really is a peaceful atmosphere for an elementary school and kids who behave are the norm. Kindergarten and first grade teams are phenomenal.

Salk Elementary has caring teachers and staff who genuinely want students to succeed. The principal does a great job leading the school and creating a positive environment for students, parents, and staff. You can tell there is real effort put into making students feel supported, safe, and encouraged to do their best. The school creates a welcoming environment where kids from different backgrounds can learn together and build friendships. Many of the teachers go out of their way to help students academically and personally, and it’s clear the staff truly cares about the children and the community. Salk is an important part of Tulsa and deserves recognition for the hard work its educators and leadership put in every day.

I am a current parent of 2 holland hall students. Great teachers and staff. They have well rounded balanced curriculum. I would highly recommend it

my husband and I had to move to Tulsa for him to complete his medical residency for 4 years. I wanted my two boys to attend regent to get a better education. I hyped them up about having to change schools over the course of two weeks. Finally they accepted the idea and were so excited to attend. Only to find out they “did not qualify” for 1st and 3rd grade. I have attended private school my whole life, I am a chemical engineer and my husband a physician after completing 14 years of schooling. Academics run deep. The fact that regent turned us away so quickly because my child struggled with a few areas, and wasn’t willing to work with us instead blows my mind. so much for helping children. We’ll happily go somewhere else that will help and support them academically.
