Pipeline to prison poster child. These are elementary aged children. This school treats children like prisoners and is militant. As a parent I regret sending my child here.

My child will never attend this school again. I will do whatever i have to do and drive wherever i have to. The "nurse" will tell your child to lay down and try to go to sleep after a head injury. The LAST thing you should do. he staff are all friends. If they don't like your child they will taunt them, have them beat up, etc. Tulsa public schools safe center is aware and has police reports regarding incidents at this school. 100000/10 DO NOT RECCOMEND.

My son was enrolled in Eugene Field Elementary School for less than a month for his Pre-K year. We withdrew him because he was being mistreated by both teachers and students and the principal was unwilling to deal with issues that arose and blamed us for my son's "problems". He has minor autism. They knew of his autism at enrollment. And he's attended a school environment since he was 2 1/2, but when we started noticing changes in his demeanor, I brought it up to the principal, she got defensive and hostile. In the few weeks he was enrolled, his teacher made him stay in class when he was sick, not once but twice. He had four "accidents" in his clothing on one of these occasions and they never called to inform me or to let me come pick him up. He had been potty trained for nearly two years and four "accidents" in one day was not common. Once I got him home and found out, I took him to the doctor and he had the flu. He even had a fever when I brought him home! In January, we enrolled him in Porter ECDC and he improved greatly. However, his trust for teachers is not what it once was. I now homeschool him because he's no longer eligible to attend Porter ECDC due to his age. -1 rating

There is a strong sense of community. They have community nights every month where they teach parents more about the Montessori method, provide food and games and a chance for parents to connect. The principal is always at everything and easy to reach. A lot of the teachers, especially lower and early elementary are very involved as well. The principal is committted to hiring a diverse staff and I am so impressed with the teachers she has recruited to joint the team.

(NOTE: pay attention to the dates of these reviews! There is a night and day difference between the reputation and leadership of this school that changed only a year or so ago.)We are thrilled to be a part of this growing community! The faculty is incredible and it is evident that the leadership of the school is aiming for excellence at every level. It has been wonderful to see our daughter advancing academically while also being formed authentically as a follower of Christ. We HIGHLY recommend learning more about what makes this school different from all others in Tulsa!
