Warm World School

My son struggled with many teachers in private daycare. At daycare the response felt more like a threat that he better behave or else. Everyone acknowledged he was performing well-above his grade level but wouldn’t accommodate to keep him challenged to avoid boredom. When he came to DCES his first couple teachers and principal worked with us to create an action plan: we felt optimistic. Then in 2nd grade a crucial coupling of him and Ms. Hope Brown was everything he needed. She was a blessing to us and, under her support, our son earned countless Antler Way awards and joined the Gifted and Talented program. Thank you to everybody at DCES - especially Ms. Brown - for motivating and developing a child who might’ve been wasted elsewhere.

I love James L. Dennis. My kids have excelled and learned so much here. The teachers are truly caring and their love for their students is genuine. Different staff members have recognized my kids at places away from school and have made a point to call them by their name and say hello. Can't be in a better school!

My son attended this school and absolutely loved it. I appreciated the teachers attentiveness and the after-school program accommodated my son's needs and my work schedule.

Terrible to the point it makes you question your ability as a parent

I am a staff member at CCS. My daughter has been on the waitlist for several years and despite being a part time employee there and being very involved with the Church, we have been rejected year after year. The emails state because of siblings - basically if you have one child already in the school, all your other children automatically get in. I would not recommend this school. They literally wait 2 months before school is out to tell you if you get in or not, leaving very little time to plan for other options.
