Deer Creek Elementary School

Great, I've had two kids attend this school at different times. Very involved parents and teachers. Nothing but great experiences here!

I am a staff member at CCS. My daughter has been on the waitlist for several years and despite being a part time employee there and being very involved with the Church, we have been rejected year after year. The emails state because of siblings - basically if you have one child already in the school, all your other children automatically get in. I would not recommend this school. They literally wait 2 months before school is out to tell you if you get in or not, leaving very little time to plan for other options.

Kids are not allowed to be kids here. Kids are rushed all the time, parents are not acknowledged. Poor communication from admin/teachers to parents. Everything is a money grab, when they need donations and to meet a quota that’s when you’ll get a good response. They have this new thing “be the nice kid” agenda instead of teaching children self respect and boundaries. So many learning gaps and skips though curriculum. If your child has an IEP like mine they will be ostracized and fall through the cracks where the teachers and admin don’t care to help them. The atmosphere is so hostile and unwelcoming. I feel bad my kids had to go here! We are now enrolled in a better school! AVOID!
