Bad management let all students in dangerous!
Posted by a parent on 1/17/2023Surrounding schools in the same district are more prepared for upcoming school year. Parent coordinator for PS 21 on vacation until 2 weeks before school starts. No class assignments available yet. Called in and was referred to school website but site is not updated for new school year.

Posted by a parent on 12/2/2014PS21 is a great school. My daughter loves this school. They have many fundraising activities such as movie, game and pizza nights to name a few. The guard Ms. Juana really does a good job and loves children.

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEverything at this school was traumatizing for my 6th grade daughter, who felt that she didn't have a friend group, as she said it felt cliquey, because as she said, "If you don't have friends by the first week, you won't have any at all." She only liked one teacher, who she had a study hall with. I don't recall the name of this teacher, but I think he taught 8th grade History. Besides this, my daughter felt as if she was all alone, and we resorted to going to a public school as an alternate option. Would definitely not recommend enrolling your child into this school, and I would suggest looking at The Master's Academy, a school down the road. My daughter didn't want to go potentially through that process again at another private school, so I didn't look at this option. I can be sure that they are receiving a great education without the confusing messaging sometimes found at NYC public schools.
