6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have had a wonderful experience at Locke. My daughter is in Pre-K and was in 3K last year. The teachers are wonderful, and there is a new principal who seems to be doing an excellent job. The community is engaged, inclusive, diverse, and down-to-earth. The enrichment opportunities are stellar and really set Locke apart from many other D3 schools: art, music, engineering (legos), physical education, and both an outdoor garden and indoor hydroponics lab with a specialized teacher. Parent volunteers revamped the library after many years, and there is now a beautiful, burgeoning library too. (Many elementary schools in NYC sadly do not have school libraries!)
