Posted by a community member on 11/13/2022As a former student of this school, I would not recommend. Every day I would go home with pounds of homework, teachers were all very strict and could definitely do a better job with teaching. I was at this school for 9 years and I’m still dumb.

Most parents felt they just wanted a better academic experience for their child.This school has zero focus on reading and critical math concepts in the lower grade

The class sizes are larger than the ideal size. Yet, even with the larger class sizes, the teachers meet the challenges and they are experienced and qualified. The parent involvement is great. The school has been in a decline over the years with current deaf students leaving in droves. It's a shame, because I had high hopes for the school. I would love to see more representation and inclusion from the top-down (including the administrators - none of whom are deaf). Very inconsistent use of ASL - not used in the classrooms, elementary ASL class without a curriculum, and no ASL class in middle school.
