School staff does not care bout the safety of your children they do not have a dean at this school let alone metal detectors. They never return calls or pick up the school phone. Kids come and go as they please and they do not call the parents to let them know of any problems with your child

It all paid off at the end, this school offered the opportunity for him to take & pass 3 of the HS regents exams, which put him in a position to get into a
Posted by a parent on 11/22/2014PPA is a great school! Lead by A great Principal! My son graduated with 3 Regents prior to attending High School. They have all kinds of programming to meet each student needs...(E.g. STEM Activities, Culinary Arts, Band, College Tours, A Beacon program and other in-school/after-school activities.)

Don't get me wrong they have a handful of teachers that actually care.if I had to do it all over again I would not send my son there. My second son will be attending the charter school.

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son graduated from this school last year and it's one of the best catholic schools in brooklyn. The staff is very organized and the teachers are great. They show a genuine interest in making sure their students learn. I wish my son's current school operated like St. Gregory the Great Catholic Academy. It's affordable, it's safe, it's close to home and the principal and teachers are awesome. I wished the school went all the way up to grade 12. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy oldest son attended Mary Bobb, the Winthrop location, when he was 2.5 years old and still wearing pampers. He was always greeted with kindness, taught to be respectful and and was even potty trained there. He enjoyed going to daycare everyday. We loved his teacher Ms. Yvonne. That son is now 6 years old, obviously in elementary school, so I'm unaware of any changes between then and now other than the Winthrop location closing but I will be looking very strongly into this daycare as my youngest in just turning two now.Parent Review7y ago
