South River Middle School

A longtime resident of South River and both my children grew up in South River. They both attended universities and are now working as engineers. I believe this school system provided what my children needed to learn and thrive. I recommend this school and applaud its staff for doing underappreciated work each and every day for the betterment of society as a whole.

Awful school. They crossed the line where my parental rights were concerned. Their district did the same. They should be ashamed of themselves, but they're not, that's the problem.

When originally looking at the local Catholic schools, this school was ranked third on our list of 3. After attending the schools ranked 1 and 2 on our list (both closed by the Diocese), we were forced to come here. This school should’ve been ranked 8th on our list of 3. It’s been miserable. The students, the parents, the teachers, everything. A miserable experience. The cliques control the school and they DO NOT accept transfers well. If you are planning on attending this school, may I suggest you do it with your oldest child and start from kindergarten. This way you have nothing to compare it to. Attending in any other way will bring you nothing but disappointment… Oh, and make sure your checking account is full. You’ll be writing check after check all year for things not included in the tuition.
